Acdsee question..

Ok, last week, I lost my computer and got a new laptop. I came on here FREAKING out because I had lost acdsee and was worried about having to buy it again, start all over etc..

I was able to get my product code and redownload the program - yea! I have also transferred all my old files from my old hard drive to this new computer. However, when I go in and look at all my scrapbooking kits, none of them are tagged (which I figured). I don't recall ever backing up acdsee (I don't even see on the program where to do that).

Does anyone know, where, on the computer, if it backs up, where it backs up to? I found an acdsystems file on there but there's nothing really in there that's noteworthy. I know this is a longshot, but I just wondered if anyone knew anything about this that could direct me such that I might find my tagged items and be up and going again instead of retagging hundreds of kits again. :-(

you have to backup your database yourself! sorry!!! purge, purge! :)

Go to Digital Scrap Info and they'll help you out there. I had issues with my ACDsee and they were able to get everything back for me.

would the existing database still be intact on your old hard drive? if so maybe you could just copy that over?
