This morning whilst Maddie was getting ready for church, she was blasting this on her MP3 speakers:

Hmmmm...is it strange or does she have incredibly good taste in music...I can't decide.

Too funny! And I bet she doesn't even realize it is OLD music! My kids always wonder why I know the words to their 'new' music, or the music in TV ads these days.... :p

It means she has the best mom ever for exposing her to such good music! :)

good taste LOL!

Nathaniel used to be able to pull the Carol King LP out of the stack no matter where I put it.

I have an unusual obsession with Dan Fogelberg so who am I to judge? :p

Oh, that's not my thing. I'd probably turn it off on them if they had that on LOL.

Could be worse, it could be 50 Cent! (I love 50 Cent, but it's not for kids LOL)

my daughter has some weird tastes too. If you look on her phone she has country, rap, r&b, rock, metal, pop....just a little bit of everything. She spends alot of time with her grandparents on the weekends so she is exposed to alot of older music through them and it shows. She loves Elvis (but so do I LOL) and Buddy Holly. At the age of about 4 she knew the song "Don't Cry Joni" by heart. People would laugh at how many songs she knew at such a young age. I think it is great that you have exposed her to many types of music and her tastes are that diverse.

My kids listen to my music too- so they're well rounded musically, exposed to all different types of music. And since I teach little ones, I get REALLY tired of kids' music, so they can listen to that stuff at school too and I can enjoy REAL music when I'm home.

Good for you Lizzy!
