Does anyone know Walmarts return policy?

My MIL got my daughter a DS that we already got her so we want to return it but I can't find my stinkin receipt!

Will they do a return without a receipt? I will call them but it is probably quite busy right now so I thought I would try here first.

They will let you return stuff without a receipt, but only for store credit.

Yep, same policy up here...they'll give you a WM gift card in the amount of the price of the item(s) returned.

On a side note, if you buy cosmetics at Walmart, you have 10 days to return with reciept. So for every nasty lipstick you ever bought and hated, you could have brought it back.

Glad she had the receipt! Hope she mails it! They should take it back even w/out the receipt! The least they'd do is give you a GC. Sometimes my store still gives cash back!

Dead serious. I was shopping for foundation with my 5 kids and I was deliberating trying something new. THe cosmetics lady said I have 10 days if I hate it bring it back. Now I tell every woman I know. I think we all deserve to know these things.

If you do not have a receipt the only drawback is if it was on sale within the last 90 days I think they will only give the sale price. Also the DS must be in the original package unopened to return it. They are really lenient around the holidays and dont give people a hard time about receipts because there are so many returns being made at that time. If you made a purchase by credit/check card alot of times they can do a search and find it without a receipt I think. I know Target can so many Walmart can too

Returns Policy
All merchandise purchased from Walmart.com may be returned either to a store or by mail within 90 days of receiving it, unless otherwise noted below. Additional guidelines are also noted below.

* Computer hardware: Must be returned with any included software within 15 days of receipt.
* Computer components and computer accessories: Must be returned within 45 days of receipt.
* Computer software: Must be returned unopened.

Wal mart has been good as far as returns thus far knock on wood though I have heard you can only make so mnay returns in a year?? Dont know how true that is. YUCK on the make up though, wow!

i'm sure this has been answered but they will only give you store credit at this point. if you know what card it was purchased on and the exact date they can look up your receipt.
