AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
i'm freaking out on the inside real bad.
oh no! pink eye sucks! I managed to avoid it for my first 31 yrs and then somehow got it THREE times this year. what's up with that?! it went away pretty quickly though and thanks to obsessive hand washing no one else caught it. I still don't know where *I* caught it though.
ugh, hope it's nothing. tons of good thoughts for your poor eyes!

Glossy eyes, irritated, not feeling right - aren't those signs of being high?? J/K!!
Really hoping that it's not pink eye. There are some over the counter drops that will treat some forms of this. If I were you, I would run to get some and start using right away to see if you could ward it off.

I would! I heard it really works! I guess it depends on whether you have viral or bacterial conjunctivitis. If it's viral, it will just have to run it's course (have you recently had a cold?). Bacterial usually crusts over continuously, whereas viral is only like that in the morning. Get well soon!

Oh Fizz...I just had that a few weeks ago...PIA because I had to wear my glasses instead of contacts. Hope you get it to go away quickly. My sis is an optician and brought me some drops from work and it knocked it out within a few days.

yep... should help as long as it's not bacterial. well, it'll still help with symptoms either way -- just won't cure it if it's not viral.

maybe mix it with breastmilk for maximum benefit.

i think that just helps with the symptoms, doesn't kill the bacteria. at this point i am leaning twords an irritation or viral pink eye for sure.
i just downed a mass of organic vitamin c. come on natural anti-bodies.

Oh no! I hope it isn't! I would def get some drops going just in case!

you just said what I posted in a less confusing way. :D if it's bacterial, you need prescription drops. if it's viral, it'll run it's course but you can use the OTC drops to help with the symptoms.
I really need to stop trying to make sense when I have a 3yr old shrieking in the background. :p

Just so you know conjunctivitus is not always contagious and not always caused by a virus/bacteria infection. It could be allergies or a pollutant/irritant. It is very painful though and not something Id want to have but my son has had it several times and I got into an argument with the school nurse over it because she said it is ALWAYS caused by an infection and I printed several articles about it from the internet to show her that it is simply an inflamation of the lining of the eye which is sometimes caused by an infection. Anyhow just wanted to tell you think so you know even if it is diagnosed as pink eye it may not be an infection...it might simply be allergies or an irritant. Hope you feel better soon too!!! Try those drops from the drug store. They work great. I have used them myself and used them for my son and he even said they made it feel alot better til we could get him to the dr.

Lizzy, I've had pink eye tons of times while teaching...several times a year. You need some good drops (or I prefer the cream) and it should be better pretty much overnight. Did your Dr. call back???

I totally would, *but* I'm just as insane about pink eye as Liz is. Even more maybe since we've battled it TWICE in the last six months.
So, if I were to go over to Liz's right now, you'd see two of those crazy running guys that Annie keeps posting. lol
Liz, hope its not pink eye. But if it is, remember that I love you and that I don't want to have contact with you for 4-6 days... :p

I just had pink eye a week and a half ago. It sucked but I am a firm believer in natural remedies so I used Colloidal Silver. It works awesomely!!!! I woke up with it in one eye, used the Colloidal Silver a few times that day (along with washing my hands practically every 5 minutes! lol) and woke up with it pretty much gone. The next day I woke up with it in the other eye, used the Silver and the next day it was pretty much gone. I was amazed at how well it worked!! I used it in my girls' eyes too as a preventative and thankfully they didn't get it!

I once had pink eye SOOOOOO bad that I missed a week of work, seriously!!!!
I went in and got drops and the drops made it WORSE. I called the doc to tell him and his response was, give it time. THe next day I couldn't open my eyes they were so swollen. I called again, he said give it time. I told him HELL no and that I'd be in his office when he returned from lunch. Turns out on top of pink eye, I had an allergic reaction to the drops!!!!!
Ohhh, the joys of working with germ carrying little snot rockets. :)
