I have decided to jump into extractions...I tried before and just really have no idea how to do it where it isn't so doggone hard! I love the layouts that are extracted, they are so cool!
Any tutorials out there for PSCS2? Any tips?
Thanks!!

I'm not so good at it, but there is an extract filter in CS2, you might start there. :)
Here is a tutorial I have used in the past...

I  extractions! I use the magnetic lasso and go arond the subject and feather by 1-2 px. It's best to make sure you have the subject very large (200%) on your screen so you can see all of the details around the edges. When you use the magnetic lasso, just hit the delete key if you make a mistake and it will remove the last point. I use layer masks for everything, so I can easily edit the extraction. Just remember that not all images are suitable for extraction. Ideally, you want there to be a contrast between the subject and the background. Trying to extract a dark subject from a dark background is no fun! HTH!!
