I'm going crazy! I feel so isolated from the world being here alone with two little ones. I live WAY out in the country and other than my mom I've not been around grown ups in days and it's taking it's toll on me. I'm not brave enough to try to get out with the baby and Avery at the same time b/c she's still so tiny and he's a handful whenever I take him anywhere. And I'm soo tired...I mean I'm getting enough sleep b/c thank goodness Ella is such a good baby and is only waking once at night to nurse and then goes right back to sleep, but from 6 am til 8 pm I am non-stop taking care of these children and I've not had one minute to myself. I think I'm just having a little bit of the baby blues and missing DH. Today is our anniversary too and I don't even think he'll remember b/c he's so busy and he's not got the best track record for remembering things like that. Hopefully though today my mom is going to come stay with the kids so I can run some errands. How sad is it that I'm looking forward to going to the post office lol...
thanks for letting me whine :)

Aww, honey, what you're feeling is totally understandable. I hope your Mom's able to come by and give you a little break. Just some fresh air on your own will do you wonders I'm sure.

(((hugs)))
oh I really do understand. The few months I lived back in Ohio, I never ever saw my roommate and barely any family...I even found when I was trying to do my YIR, I had nothing to say about those months because I felt like I just sat there and took care of kids for months on end, and nothing else!
It does take it's toll on you, I spent a LOT of time on the phone with my BFF while nursing (she was in a similar boat...nursing infant, toddler and hubby away on business often). Finding someone to relate to might help! And while I never used to be such a "phone person" it did help me through.
I hope you really enjoy your trip out today and don't forget to take a moment for yourself, even if it's just a few minutes to grab a decaf Starbucks!
I'm so sorry you're having a rough day, I'm sending you all the better day vibes I have :)
Happy Anniversary to you too!

So sorry, Nikki. It's so tough with a newborn and a toddler. I can relate to the blues and hope you feel better really soon. ((HUGS))

Ohhh man Nikki!
I'm so sorry you are feeling so cooped up!
I hope your mom makes it over and you have some time to yourself today, even if it is mindless errands!
Happy Anniversary too!

I don't have a newborn, but I hear you on being cooped up with a toddler in the country & a DH who is working away from home. That's great your mom is able to come by, enjoy the time away!!

((Big Hugs)) Nikki! I know all about that! When my daughter was born, I was out here in the country all alone with my newborn daughter, 3 year old son, and 9 year old son. My hubby was only able to be off before the birth (I had some problems with blood pressure) and for her birth, then he had to go back on the road. I had so many bouts with the baby blues, etc. so I completely understand! I hope your mama is able to get over to you and give you some time out!! And Happy Anniversary hon!! ((hugs))

I remember those days when I had 2 babies, a toddler, and thankfully the oldest was in school. Sometimes I would just put the 3 little ones in the car and drive to a fast food restaurant to go through the drive-through. Just that outing helped!
Hope your mom can help you out! And Happy Anniversary - I hope your DH remembers...if not today, then later.

Aww sweetie! I know how you feel. When my two oldest were born, DH worked 12 hour days from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. By the time he got home, it was after midnight. I was so bored that I looked forward to going to the laundromat to do my laundry! LOL
Happy anniversary!!

I can relate too. Those first few weeks of getting used to wrangling 2 kids and never getting any time to yourself are so tough (especially with the hormones thrown in!). (((Hugs))) honey! It will get better soon -- and try to enjoy being out by yourself for a while.
