Almost knocked myself out!

Ok, so I'm a little worried! Yesterday while cleaning the garage, I stood up and right into the corner of the metal shelf! I almost passed out, I got real woozy and had to just sit for a minute. Ok...now I have a dent with swelling around it...sort of like an indentation...is that normal?? I'm freaking out!!

Wow! I would call the advice nurse or go in to see the Dr just in case. Do you feel dizzy anymore? Did you sleep ok? Yikes! I hope you feel better soon.

I slept ok...I'm just worried because my husband is in Iraq so it's just me and the little ones. I'm trying not to be too paranoid, but I do have a slight headache, but I'm not sure if it's stress OR the head injury!

Swelling is good, the dent is not. Call the dr honey.

I would call the dr if it has you concerned. Ive had plenty of head injuries and I think concussion would be the worst that could happen in something like this. It is usually like the first 24-48 hours that are the concern though. But yea just call the dr. and Im sure they can put your mind at ease

Glad you're calling. Sara is right. Our doc told us with the kids that a knot and/or swelling is usually ok, but an indentation is not.

Went to the ER, they said I have a head contusion and to call back if I get a horrific headache or vomiting. I have an appt with my PCM tomorrow!! Thanks everyone for the advice!!

I wish I could say otherwise, but I have done that to myself on more than one occasion! I usually bump up- but they say the indentation could mean internal bleeding.
