I came home from vacation with an alien creature trying to get out of my chest, haven't slept in 2 days, and am just ready to not be sick any longer. Can I whine a little more? LOL
So no NYE celebrating for me..I'll be in bed asleep by 8
And for those on that side of the world - HAPPY New Year!!!!

Joel is working tonight, so it's just Luke and me. I bought some noise makers and Happy New Year crowns and Luke and I will bring in the new year around 9 p.m. tonight. LOL

Hope you feel better soon!
Today is DH's birthday so we always have a party. We have about 10-15 people over & have a bonfire & fireworks.

DH always works on NYE and the kids are always in bed by 8pm, so I *usually* am asleep before midnight. But this year the boys and I are going to our church's game night with my parents (DH is, of course, working). It should be lots of fun. Doublt we'll stay till midnight though.

I hope you feel better soon, Darcy!
My kids are both feeling pretty yucky so we'll be staying home tonight. Hopefully the youngin's will go to bed early. DH is making his world-famous nachos and I'm heading to the video store soon to see if I can find something for us to watch (silly Netflix is a day behind).
Oh and we have rum! And Coke Zero! That's all the party I need right there.

Well, DH is taking a nap now (it´s 5pm here) and later we´re going to my parents place. My older sister is at her beach apartament and none of my IL's called to know where we are going to be. So we´re cool :)

But that's fun, Meg! A celebration by the whole family of the act that brought everyone here (well, not THAT act <snicker>). Have fun!

We're camping out in the living room, making pizzas and cupcakes, and watching movies all night. We even picked up some hats, streamers, and such. Good fun!

Feel better soon, Darcy! It's no fun being sick, especially during the holidays.
We're having our Semi-Annual "Blow up the Neighborhood Party". We provide the fireworks, the neighbors bring a beverage of choice and their children. Then everyone can stumble home down the street when we're done!
The boys are begging me to let them stay up until midnight...we'll see if Mom & Dad can make it that long. LMAO!

We are having our annual fondu dinner at our house, with some friends over. I think this is at least the 6th annual.

I hope the sickies go away soon Darcy!
DH is working. He just called to say that the other wives are meeting at the fire station at around 8 so he wants me to come down then. I wanted to be curled up with my book and a nice fire.... oh well. Maybe tomorrow night. LOL!!! I'm sure I'll be home early though.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!!!

We have our last ice skating lesson of the session today but after that I'll be home for the night and as is my tradition for NYE, I'll probably sit around giving stuff away here, MSA, DST - we'll see :D
Feel better soon Darcy!

Hope you feel better soon, Darcy! :) I'm right there with you!!
DH and I are staying in this year (we normally do). We like to just watch the ball drop and hang out together on the sofa. We're making dinner together tonight, something we've been doing more often and love it- here's what's on the menu: Carbanara Deep-Dish Pasta-Crusted Pan Pizza (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachaelay/carbonara-deep-dish-pasta-crusted-pan-pizzaecipe/index.html). Yum!

We're all a little big sick at our house, so no big plans for us. We have a five-pot fondue party at my parents house tomorrow with the big family, and that'll be fun. But tonight we're just making some chinese food (I think - I should decide soon, eh? ) and probably playing some of our new Wii stuff together as a family. Not a big night for us. But then again, I haven't made it to midnight any of the past five years, so why should this year be different? *LOL* I'm lame, I know. :)

I tried to take a nap this afternoon so I would make it to 12, but that didn't happen.
We're going to dinner with Jordan's parents and sister, and we'll have a few drinks, and that'll probably be it. We'll come home and I'll fall asleep on the couch and Jordan will wake me up at midnight and tell me to go upstairs, lol.

Is there no one else on here who's DH is a football fan? There are bowl games on all night! And my DH will be sure to be watching alllllll of them with our teenagers. I think I'll go get a movie to watch from Blockbuster and maybe peek in here 'cause Robin says she's giving stuff away! YAY!
I'm so thankful that my 16 year old does not want to go to a party tonight. When I was 16, there was no way you could keep me home. The boys will all have friends over and we just recently splurged on an Emeril fryer so we have lots of goodies to fry up! Yum!
We will probably all make it until midnight. We have some games to play also.

we had made plans a couple weeks ago to have MIL watch the kids for us but now that our furnace is broke we're afraid to leave the house with the kerosene heater on. we don't want our pipes to freeze up again and i know its supposed to be cold tonight. so we bought some 'adult beverages' and we're staying home to watch some movies and chill, lol.

Hiya! Typing from Warrensburg Missouri...at my sister's house...my niece's birthday is today (New Years Eve) so we're here eating pizza, the kids are playing video games, and I'm scrapping Cookies trying to get a few more layouts done for the designer challenges. We're spending the night so we can stay away from all the drunk drivers!

DH is parked in front of the TV watching the bowl games, the kids are playing and I'm here on the computer :D
We got a bunch of junk food to snack on tonight - Rotel cheese dip & chips, crackers/salami/pepperoni/cheese, boneless buffalo wings, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks & pizza rolls! And now DH is hinting that he wants brownies so looks like I'll be making a quick trip to the grocery store lol!

Both my girls made it til midnight, they're still up watching the Planet of the Apes marathon on Encore with Rob. Kyle fell asleep quite awhile ago, I was sure he'd wake up though when our crazy neighbors across the street started shooting off a ton of fireworks but so far he's slept through it!
