I've been wanting to make these cupcakes (http://cupcakeblog.com/?p=67)for awhile now. so today i took the plunge and did it! Mine aren't as perfect looking as hers, but i'm quite proud. they are extremely sweet. i made some cream cheese frosting i found here (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cream-Cheese-Frosting-II-2/Detail.aspx). which is to die for on its own! i think they would have been too too sweet had i made the vanilla buttercream frosting. i already could only eat one with the cream cheese frosting! but they are SO good! and also a PITA, putting the filling inside, lol. Here are a couple before and after pics lol

some of them kinda fell, lol. and also, i don't believe my oven cooks evenly because some of them seemed not quite done? its a cheap oven but only about 2 years old. i have my eye on one of those fancy 6 burner stoves! (yah, right :D)
and here they are, in all their glory :D

i couldnt' find cherries with the stem so i just bought a jar of maraschino's.
my kids just kept eating the cherry and the icing off the top. so i had about 5 of them sitting around, wasted, cause i couldnt' stomach any more sweetness, lol. so the remaing few are on a plate in the fridge cause the icing seemed to be melting. they keep sneaking in there and stealing the cherries off the top :D. i'm hoping to keep a couple for my mom to taste.
TFL! make some! they're extra sweet but good!
