my 6 year old is BIG on whining. she and i butt heads constantly!! she's SO stubborn and headstrong! and boy is she mouthy! lets just say she knows what dish soap tastes like. :D i did that once, and it seemed to help with the potty mouth a bit! but she's still very mouthy with me.

Oh yeah...Jake is SO stubborn. Maybe we need to try the soap.
Oh...and then when he gets in trouble....
"Sorry-uh. I just love you. You're my best friend."
He gives me guilt trips!

Omg that sucks, I'd be so mad. My mom wouldn't let us whine. Not even joing. We would get put in time out for whining. She taught pre-schoolers and wouldn't let them whine, so she saw no reason to let us whine, lol.
And talking back? Omg. I talked back to my mother ONE TIME in my life, when I was 18. And I still got in trouble for it, LOL!

Ugh, whining is annoying. Luckily my 2 year old hasn't really figured it out yet. He will scream when I don't come fast enough though, we have been learning to say please Mommy rather than screaming though. lol

My 2 year old is a big whiner and it drives me NUTS! So now I ask him, "Paul, are you whining?" And he stops right away and says, "No, Mommy. I just talking." And that will last for about 2 minutes. But he seems to be figuring out when he actually is whining, which is a start.
