Well not always but the exclmation points are proportional on how much I love the layout... plus I go totall hig school-ish when praising, like OMG, AWWW , cuuuute... and stuff like that... can't help it. I blame to my lack of vocabulary in English... but I'm sure I'd say the same in Spanish... LOL

i do too. but, comments don't seem quite the same with just a period. for example, would you rather see:
"This is really great. I love it. into my favorites it goes."
or
"This is really great!!!! I love it!! into my favorites it goes!"
see? they make all the difference!! :D

I always use them when I leave gallery comments
Othewise I think it looks like it might be sarcasm. i don't really notice it on comments left for me, just comments left by me.
"Lovely layout." (yeah, right)
"Lovely layout!!" (you really like it!)

And I too...I am a frequent user of the dot dot dot...otherwise known as the elipse!!

I definitely abuse exclamation marks. I'm also a fan of the double hyphen. It's extremely useful when you don't want to use a parenthesis.

I must sound like I'm on a sugar high ALL THE TIME, cause exclamation marks are pretty much the only punctuation marks I use... either that or (...). I use that entirely too much too!!

Is it possible to leave a gallery comment without one? I don't think I've ever managed it! But if I'm leaving a multi-sentence comment I make sure not to use one on every sentence.
I'm also a...abuser, but that's in the forums more than the gallery.
