Okay, so DH & I have never been to The Melting Pot. We got an email advertising a really good deal they have going on. So, we are doing an early Valentine's dinner & going this coming Monday night. My question...what in the world do I wear? It says "business casual", but I don't work, soI don't know what that really is & DH has a uniform! lol So, do I need to wear like slacks, or are khaki's fine? Is a button up shirt okay for DH or does he need to wear like a dress shirt? I'm totally clueless & don't want us to walk in and look stupid! lol

Nice jeans and a button with some decent shoes (non-sneakers) would be fine for DH. Something similar for you would be good too. Khaki's are fine, nice jeans are fine (I consider a good pair of dark jeans to be nice jeans).

We have a Melting Pot here...and pretty much all the customers are wearing jeans and cute tops as far as girls go.
What if you wore like cute dark jeans, heels and a sexy-ish top?
For your man khakis would be fine, or again nice denim and a button up.
Enjoy the cheese!

Business casual means slacks and a collared shirt for men and slacks/skirt and blouse for women. Nothing fancy. Just sorta like what you'd wear to church.
And the Melting Pot is sooooooooooo yummy. Expect to spend at least a couple of hours there just eating and enjoying each other's company. And you HAVE to try their desserts. MMmmmmmm.,...

and yes, dressy jeans count as slacks for women. :)

THanks y'all! Hmmm....all my jeans are too big  so maybe I'll go shopping tomorrow! :) That's kinda what I was thinking, but just wasn't sure. Y'all are awesome! The promotion they're doing is the 3-course dinner. So, we get the cheese fondue, the entree & the chocolate fondue! YUMMY!!! Our reservations aren't until 8 & they close at 11. So, I imagine we'll probably be there till they close. lol But, we have to drive about an hour to get there & DH doesn't get home til 5:30, plus he'd have to get ready, and then account for Atlanta traffic or else we would've made earlier reservations. Anyway....yeah, just babbling. lol

Yum! Enjoy! That is one of my fav "special" restaurants. The dessert is the best part. I can taste the Turtle Chocolate one right now :)

It's a fondue place. They have courses of cheese fondue, meat/veggie fondue, and DESSERT fondue :)
Have a great time! I only went once (boy it's pricey) but loved it! I could have had the dessert fondue and been happy with just that. :p i have a layout in my gallery from my time there.
eta: I had two layouts! First one is just the dessert one that I chose-

and the second one you can see all three fondues

I have walked past the one on the Plaza in KC a few times and wondered what it was all about. I looked at their site and it sounds really yummy. It is kinda pricey but everywhere on the Plaza is. If you sign up for their club/newletter you get a coupon for free dessert fondue.

I did sign up, that's why I got the email about the promotion going on right now. But, I signed up about a year ago, so the coupon is definitely expired! lol And, ours includes the dessert!!

Yeah, but this is the only one running the promo. Oh well. Do you know anything about parking? I know they have valet, but I'm kinda weird about some stranger driving my car. If we can't park our own car there, do you know where else that would be a good place to park w/in a couple of blocks. We though about Crawford-Long.
