i cannot locate the deed to our house. it has mysteriously disappeared. anyone know if i can get another one through the title company? we are considering borrowing some money against the house to get the furnace and other important things done and we'll probably need it. or i wonder if i can go downtown and just get a copy of it. thanks!

Your county Clerk or courthouse should have one on file so I'd try them first.

Yeah call your county clerk office. I was able to get a copy of ours for $10.
