I can't sleep when I'm frickin' passing kidney stones!! About an hour ago I started getting the huge pain in my left side...still sort of there, but has also passed down my ureter into my urethra so it's just a matter of time before I pass the stupid thing. There might be more than one, I dunno. All I care about is the pain stopping! They told me at the hospital a while ago that besides giving me something for the pain, there is nothing they can do when I get kidney stones, and since I can't take anything stronger than Tylenol 1's because they make me sick, I might as well stay home and take when I have here. Ugh...stupid things. Well, if I do catch it/them, it'll be my 365 pic of the day! LOL

Ugh, Kidney stones are no fun (from what I hear). Did they ever talk about going in a dissolving them or had they already moved too far down?
I hope you start feeling better soon. Take is easy and *try* to get some rest.
((hugs))

Mine haven't ever got big enough to do anything to them besides let them pass. I have a bunch in my kidneys that are dormant so it's a matter of time before they all come out.

Oh, you poor baby! My DH has them and he is out of commission until they pass. Drink plenty of water and flush those pups out. Will a heating pad help at all? I hope you feel better soon.

My meds (3 Tylenol 1's) have kicked in so I'm not in pain, but hopefully they'll pass soon. Sometimes I have the pain and can never catch the buggers coming out since they are so small, although others are larger. I would like to get them though to show people I am not crazy and I do have them. LOL
Sorry if this is TMI...here's one I "gave birth to" a few years ago. LOL

OMGosh I feel so bad for you. I had them several years ago and they are soooo painful. I would compare to hard labor pains only continuous. I was one of the unlucky ones and mine got stuck which got me hospitalized for like four or five days. I had so much toxins backed up in my system from it. I hope it passes quickly for you!! Drink lots of water to try to keep hydrated and hopefully that will help flush them faster. I was also told to avoid salt and alot of calcium when I was diagnosed.

The first one I ever got landed me in the hospital overnight and ended up with a 6 inch bruise on my arm from the IV. Bad thing was, it was 2 days before my wedding. LOL The good thing is, I haven't had pain like that in subsequent kidney stones. Still have pain, but not THAT bad...those were as bad as labor!

Kidney stones are straight from hell. I had one that got stuck and was shutting down my kidney, so I had to have surgery. It was the worst pain of my life, worse than having almost 10 pound babies without meds. I hope they are gone asap Jen, they really suck! ((hugs))

Oh gosh, I'm glad it passed! Those things are pure evil. I had 2 huge ones blocking everything when I was pregnant with K and ended up in the hospital for a week and having to have them removed. NOT fun! I was very close to my kidney completely shutting down before they finally decided to just do an xay.
