I've got this lovely pic of my DD and I'm trying to edit out the butt out of it. Here's what I came up with. I like the new look (I just used the clone stamp tool and made a different texture for a background) but maybe it doesn't look that great. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know. It won't hurt my feelings to say this looks icky..

A bit better? I added a blur to the background. Any suggestions?

what if you just clustered some stuff over that area? or blurred it so that you cant really tell what it is?

did you try turning it b&w?

Why not just crop it so the person is out of the photo?

You could always crop part of it out; that way, you won't have so much to clone.

I tried cropping it but didn't like the shape of the photo. On my lo, I've duplicated the photo in B&W and decreased the opacity so I'm going to have this photo and then the opaque b&w one as well.

I like the idea of clustering something over all that. I think I will do that! Duh!!! Thanks for the input!

I agree with cropping: an easy fix. If the butt were directly behind your DD or in any way 'infringing' on her, I'd resort to cloning, but since it is all the way on the other side of the photo... crop 'n' go would be my advice.

I'd be tickled to death to have a cute picture like that that I could just crop and still use, but I'm lazy like that. :)

I will blur the background and drop the saturation for backdrops that arent cute. Maybe that would work for you?

Heeheehee!!! I'm almost done with this lo and I think it's gonna be a beaut!! Thanks for all the advice! I've found some stuff to put over the blurred part and I think it looks much better. I'll post it in a bit - I have to figure out a word to go along with the picture.

Great page! I have alot of pictures that end up with something or someone in the picture....Thank goodness for being able to blur or crop the picture or to even be able to plop elements to help hide unwanted objects/subjects....LOL:)
