I swear I think I must have the strangest cat EVER!! I was wanting a snack and got a box of cereal (frosted mini wheats) and grabbed a handful of them and was eating them when my cat came up and she has this thing where when she wants some of what you have she jumps in your lap and puts her paw out like heyyyy I want a bite. She doesnt touch you or the food just holds her paw out until you give her a bite. Well Im thinking she wont possibly eat this it is frosted mini wheats ...what cat could possibly like that? Well sure enough she did. She takes my Doritos when I have them, eats popcorn and regular corn. Actually if we have corn-on-the-cob she will take the cob out of the trash and try to eat it. I have to take them outside so she doesnt try to get them. She also loves watermelon. Just a really really wierd cat.

I think it is very interesting how cats act! Mine will open the cabinet door when his bowl is half empty, will only drink from a running facet, responds appropriately (and better than my kids mind you!) when I tell him something.

Today, I came home early. I was in the house a few minutes before I called out "Boo, come here baby" and I hear him jump down from my daughter's bed and come running down to me.

He's almost 11 and still acts like a big kitten! and at 18.5 pounds, he's a big kitty!!! LOL

yes one of my cats only drinks the water if we add ice to it or give her cold water. She hates warm/room temperature water. We have also taught her to catch treats. She will jump up when you throw her a treat and catch the treat between her front paws and somehow bring it to her mouth like all in one quick motion. its really funny to see. The cat who eats all the wierd foods has a little "furball" (a piece of fur sewn up to resemble a ball). She carries it around like its a baby kitten and she brings it to you and will drop it in front of you. When she cant find it she walks around doing this little mewing sound which is kinda like a cry/meow until she finds it and then she will be happy again. We brought a kitten home a few months ago that my husband got for his brother who wanted a cat (he never did give it to him because my daughter sorta adopted him first) well this same cat adopted this kitten and as soon as we brough him in and introduced them she picked him up in her mouth and carried him into the back bedroom and laid down with him. She has never had kittens so its kinda wierd also how she is so maternal towards all the other cats (we have four cats including her)
