Just a refresher, I have 3 kids: 3, 2, and 5-months. Completely exhausting. And it's extremely difficult to get anything done when I'm alone with them. Grocery shopping? Forget it. It takes 3 times as long and I'm about to sell one of them by the time I get home. So needless to say, I live for the weekends.

I knew DH had a cub scout meeting this morning, so I'm thinking, "Okay, he'll be gone from 9-10ish, and then we can go out and get things done as soon as he comes back." I even tell him all of the things that need to get done. So, TEN MINUTES before he has to leave, he informs me that this is a training meeting, and he won't be back until lunch time. WTH????? :cursing: AND this 10 minutes includes him taking a shower, so I had zero time to discuss this with him. So now I'm left home with 3 kids, a house that's a disaster, a to-do list that's a mile long, and no one to help me. AND I'VE BEEN ON MY OWN ALL WEEK. I tried to call several people to vent, but no one's home. So I had to get this off my chest.

So why did the communication gene get left out of men?

Oh, AND before he left, he gave an ultimatum that my daughter couldn't leave her chair until she finished her eggs. Thanks, hon. Now I'm the one who has to enforce it, and she's spent over an hour just sitting there. ARGHHH!!!!!

I pretty much have told my DH if he isn't there to enforce a rule that HE sets down (without discussing it with me), then I make my own judgment when the time comes and it may or may not get enforced.

GRRR.....I know how you feel.

How about when you have been home all day with the kids and they are driving you NUTS and you expect DH to walk through the door any minute from work and you get a phone call..... "Hi honey, I am just leaving work now." WHAT? That means another hour before you're home from the city!!!! Why didn't you call me sooner??? ARRRRGGGGG!
