Do any of you have this book? Do you make anything from it?

I bought it last night at Costco, read it cover to cover (including all recipes), and am cooking from it tonight! It's such an awesome book!! I don't have to worry so much about sneaking veggies & things to get Ava to eat, because she eats EVERYTHING we have ever given her, but I really like the way she makes everyday food so much more nutritious by sneaking veggies & fruits into the recipes.

Tonight we are having "Aloha Chicken Kabobs" and brown rice. Mmmmm!

I have it. I was all gung-ho about it when I first got it. I bought lots of veggies and made a ton of purees one night... froze them... I think I used three of the baggies. LOL I ended up giving them to my sister to feed her baby with them.

I could never eat the things I made b/c I knew what was in them. Joel loved everything I made. Luke, not so much. Let us know how the Aloha Chicken Kabobs go over! Those sound yummy!

We have it..I've used it a few times. My son and DH are the only picky ones in the family. The girls eat it all haha

Some of the recipes are very good!

I have it, but I've never used it. I keep meaning to, it just seems like a lot of work.

Mmmmm, the chicken kabobs were good! Although I didn't put the chicken on skewers, so they were strips, not kabobs really, lol! But they tasted quite good, and I'll be making them again. I might switch it though to double the pineapple and half the sweet potato. You couldn't really taste the pineapple, so I was a little sad about that.

DH and Avalynne loved it though, so it will be made again! Especially because today I pureed 2 sweet potatos & a can of pineapple, haha!!

I have The Sneaky Chef. I haven't actually made any meal recipes, but I have made a couple of purees to hide in everyday foods like mac 'n cheese, spaghetti-o's & spaghetti sauce. It's about all my son will actually eat, so I feel a little better knowing there are SOME veggies in there.

I have used the book three times so far. I made the mac and cheese (my daughter doesn't like the regular kind) and she didn't really like that one either-although I ate it and liked it. We also made the meatball soup. My daughter gobbled it up and asked for more! The last one we made was the canned pumpkin french toast. We added cinnamon and a little confectioners sugar, and it felt like we were eating Halloween. We all loved it. So, we are 2 for 3 liking it. Some of the meals just take a bit to prepare though, so plan for about a half hour prep time (if you don't freeze the puree beforehand).

Did you make Mac & Cheese 1 or 2? One has cauliflower puree or the navy bean puree... I was going to try one for lunch today, but decided on leftovers instead.

Thanks for the review on the other 2 as well! I really want to try the brownies (more out of curiosity... I can't imagine hiding spinach in them, haha!).

I used the cauliflower puree. You can also mix it in with mashed potatos (mix it in well and use lots of butter) and that works too (at least for my kid). I want to try the brownies too, but I can't imagine the taste with spinach. I am thinking about replacing it with zucchini-I think it would be a milder veggie taste after its fully cooled (I shudder at spinach).
