this is a fantastic website to use Handwriting Worksheets (http://www.handwritingworksheets.com/)

You have 3 styles to choose from(our district uses D'Nealian). Type in the alphabet letters/words and the site will create a practice sheet for you. Just print and practice... Hope this helps

I bought a set of fonts at the learning store in our town. I will try to find the packaging and see who made them.

These are the ones. Which ones are you looking for? http://www.fonts4teachers.com/

Oh YIPPEE!!!!! I have seen some dashed, traceable alphabets that have Arrows that show the direction the child should trace when first learning and that would be so very helpful!

I don't want to "name drop" but I have seen a little badge album done up for teaching children to write and you can wipe it off and it is perfect for the car, etc., but I want something abit larger since it would be for a 3 year old....You rock Heather!!!! Can't wait to see it!

We use those online worksheets all the time, and they rock. They work so well to be able to connect handwriting practice with something else we're already doing in school, then just print them off and let them go at it! I did a few for practice things, laminated them, and use them for daily practice, especially if we're working on hard letters. Sometimes, the lamination makes pen movement a little easier on smaller hands or kids who have problems writing.

Thanks so much for the link Jenn, I'll be sure to check it out....

Darcy, I really do feel that laminating over the practice sheet will work best for my Grandson....I think he will like the whole idea of being able to see his work and then to wipe it off afterwards....LOL Actually, I have two nephews that I would love to do this for also....

I appreciate all of the links/tips everyone has offered....

I thought of something...at walmart for like a dollar or two they have practice placemats with the alphabet and numbers on them already made up. That might be something you could check into. That is what my kids worked on when they were little. I think they have them in the kitchen areaThanks so much for the link Jenn, I'll be sure to check it out....

I know you are only looking for fonts, but my sister teaches prek and she totally recommends Handwriting Without Tears (http://www.hwtears.com/)

Here's a chart with the arrows...you could easily print and laminate for a practice sheet:
