Hi
Another P&S question. I thought I would post another thread instead of Hi-jacking Jenny's thread!:p

I am looking for a good PnS to keep in my purse. Mostly to take snapshots of people. I looked at the Canon Elph SD1100IS and also the Nikon CoolpixS560? I don't even know if those are good ones or not.... I was just intrigued that they had the face detection feature.

Anyone love their PnS?

This is the PnS I have...I have had it a little over one year...I LOVE it, I recently upgraded to a DSLR...but I still use this camera for out and about shots...It stays in my purse...It also has face detection!

This is the one I have Canon G9 (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-G9-Digital-Stabilized/dp/B000V1VG5G/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1237760661&sr=8-2) and I love it. I ordered a Rebel last week but still plan on using this one as the one I toss in my purse for everyday use. I've had several from Canon's PowerShot line and have loved them all.

I linked a review for my P&S in my other thread. I love my camera. LOVE it. And its an older camera. There are new versions of it out that I'm sure are even better.

I have the Canon Elph SD770IS (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_sd770is.asp) and love it! It's great in bright light, which is when I'd normally be using it since it's in my purse. It's nice and small so it doesn't take up much room at all. You can also do stuff to your shots in the camera like cropping and red eye removal and the mini videos turn out great!

I have a Canon S5 IS and LOVE IT! The zoom is incredible! Easy to use, great photos, but not teeny tiny.

I have the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/casio/exilim_z1050eview/) and I love it! My boyfriend got it for me for christmas 2 yrs ago. I had a Kodak before that I had for about 2-3 years and I loved it too.
You have to really choose a camera based on what you want it to do or what you want to do with it.
