We've been sitting on the couch wrapped in quilts reading together in a huddle - which is fun but it's cold! I finally decided this is crazy I'm turning the heat up again - and when I just went to look the house was only 58 even though the thermostat was set at 62.....then it hit me, oh right, the heat isn't even on! My poor shivering children LOL. I'm thinking 62 will feel downright toasty in a bit!

oh no! I hate when that happens! Our house got down to 58 the other night too when I forgot to turn the heat back on after a warm day followed by a cold snap.

why don't all you crazy people just leave your thermostat alone? it costs more to turn it on and off all the time.

Depends on the system you run. Our is set to turn off and on a set times depending on the season, and our bill is pretty consistent yearound.

And we've done that too. I'm always colder than Jordan, but if he notices I'm wearing sweats and socks and am still all bundled up, he'll turn the heat up for me. :)

62?? Whoa... that is COLD! My stat is set at 70. And that is just a livable temp, I have to wear long sleeves unless I turn it up to 73. Wow, that is just crazy! Must be a difference in how our thermostats read the temps or something.

Im same as you Julie. I'm always cold so if it's not 900 degrees in here, I'm wearing sweatshirts and sweats.

If it's cold in our house my DH is usually the culprit cause he's always turning the heat off! Then the rest of us are sitting here freezing and he says it's just fine and why run the heating bill up in April! Well hello, we live in Kansas where it's 75 and sunny one day and 45 and rainy the next! It's a constant battle in our house lol!

Lizzy - we actually had turned it off the other day because we had the windows open. I guess it hasn't been back on since then!

You warm people freak me out. :) We do 60 during the day, 58 at night in the winter. Of course don't ask me where we set it in the summer.....

I see where you're coming from Emmy. I had a fan on last night and this morning I woke up to snow and had to turn mine back on too! Ugh! I can't wait for the weather to stabilize.

home it's at 72 and I have a space heater downstairs.. our downstairs family room area is underground and always cold.

Here at work it's 73 in here right now and I'm still cold.

We keep it around 67-8 degrees in here. It gets turned down at night a bit. It may be a little coolish, but I dress warmly. Sweatshirts, sweaters and sweat pants are my friends, lol. Think of it as being good for the planet and conserving resources ;)
