Anyone here know much about tattoo's? LOL I tried googling for my answer but couldn't really find anything. I'm basically wondering if its possible to change the color of a tattoo.. I have a blue maple leaf and puddle on my ankle but the guy who did it.. ugh I just have never really loved it. Now I'd much ratehr it look like a real canadian maple leaf - with shades of red.. is that even possible? To change it from blue or would it just end up purple? :/

Well....it depends...I'm not a tattoo expert but I do have 7 of them and one of them I had a part recolored in. My first tattoo 10 years ago was a Celtic cross on my right shoulder and 3 years ago I had it recolored while I was getting another tattoo (it costs less to do it then). So when the guy was recoloring it I had him change one of the colors. The center "jewel" of the cross was originally yellow. I really felt though, that it just looked jaundiced after all that time. So I had him make it orange and it covered well. I don't know how red would go over blue, but my guess is that it would turn purplish. Good luck!

well, K, you should be able to. My brother had this pink elephant on his shoulder (he'll argue to the death that it was red, but no, it was pink. hehehe), and you can no longer see the elephant at all. (more work has been done since this photo ....)

you can just make out the elephant hidden in the leaves up top.
Just make sure you go to a reputable tattoo artist (meaning, none around here that we know of. lol Well, Cranny or Lethy, but nothing closer).

You'd def be surprised at what can be done by a good artist. I would go talk to one and see what they think. If it's not deep navy blue or something, I'm sure they could make it work :)

I would talk to a good tattooist about that. Sometimes colours can be changed, it just depends from what to what. kwim? good luck!

don't think would be that hard. My tribal have eyes on it, and use to be black and now are green... so I guess that a good tattoo artist can do it!
