View Full Version : Vent: So Frustrated With Shadowing!

I am the first to admit I don't spend much time on my shadows, and I mostly use the same settings on every thing on my page.

Tonight, though, I tried to pull a Turnridge (ha!) by fiddling with each shadow on each element. I messed with the spread, zoomed in and out, blah blah blah. This was hardcore 25 minutes of Shadows 101, peeps.

It wasn't perfect, but it was better than some of my pages. I was pleased enough to post...

... and then somehow, Save For Web ate my pretty shadows, so now my page is all wonky. Some of the shadows are how they looked when I did them, but some of them completely disappeared.

Ugh. You'd think after five years, I'd know how to shadow.

Why isn't there a magic spell I can buy and cast on all my pages?! :p

Did you flatten first before saving for web and all that?

I would merge all the layers before saving...Save For Web can do some wonky things to shadows.

lol... pull a Turnidge. Me likey. rofl

Did it only screw up the web file, or your layered file too? Ditto on flattening the page before doing save for web.

Hmm... I'm at work, so I can't check, but I guess I didn't flatten/merge before Save for Web. I can't remember, but surely, that must be what the problem was.

I'll do that tonight and reupload.

Thanks for your advice and listening to me whine, guys. :)
