I thought it would be fun to play with the wedding photos in LR, so I've been collecting a few free presets this morning at work.

I do not own the full version, so I was going to dl the trial, but will I be able to save my photos and export them into PS, save them to my HD, etc. or does the trial only let me play and not save?

I tried to look up this question on the Adobe site, but this dumb computer at work just hates sites with Flash (and Adobe uses Flash -- whoda thunk it?! *lol*), so it's taking foreverandever to load the page and/or crashing on me.

TIA. :)

LA - I had the trial about 2 months ago and it let me save my "enhanced" photos to my HD.

yeah, its a full trial so you can save whatever you create. But beware: you're going to get totally hooked on Lightroom. :D

Oh, good. *shew* The last thing I wanted to do is edit a big batch of photos and then not be able to use them.

I know, Jenny. I know. If only Jeff would win the lottery so I could buy CS4, LR, a better newer laptop... :p

Do you have some of Traci's presets? They were some of my faves when I had the Lightroom trial.

Yup you can totally save (export) all your files that you edit during your trial. Also if your stepson (or DH maybe?) is in school you should be able to get the full version of LR2 for only $99 with the education discount through Academic Superstore (http://www.academicsuperstore.com/products/Adobe/Photoshop+Lightroom) or JourneyEd (http://www.journeyed.com/itemDetail.asp?ItmNo=21061036). My DH is a teacher so that is how I got mine, only I purchased directly from the university bookstore here. Also check this site (http://www.prophotoshow.net/blog/2007/11/09/lightroom-presets-the-ultimate-free-list/) for the biggest list of free presets :)

Is Lightroom a photo editing program? Can you use it if you have PSE6?

Yes. Lightroom is purely a photo editing and organizing program (although I don't use the organizing part much). When you are done then you can export them (save as) and use them in your PSE.

I mainly got it to process the RAW files from my camera, but then I found all kinds of cool things you can do with it. (Add vignettes, change the colors all kinds of ways, create your own presets (edit one photo in a series and then save as preset and then just one click and the others are done)! Even my DH can get pics to look pretty amazing in it. And I got mine through him (Academic Superstore) when he was getting his Masters.
