Ok, this is just too funny!

My DS is 16 and he thinks he is invincible! So, today after his dad drops him off at school, he and his friend decide they are gonna skip school. They're in the grocery store buying supplies for the day and they're in the check out line bragging and laughing about how smart they are and how Gonzo (the VP) is so stupid that she probably won't even realize they are gone and who should be behind them in the lane? Gonzo, the vice principal!! :blink:
She immediately tells him to dial home or she will!! Busted!

I know I shouldn't laugh about this - but I'm happy he was busted. He needs to learn that he just can't break the rules and not get caught!

thats funny!! My daughter got busted in a similar way. She skipped several days of school recently. She was still getting good grades so I had no idea and because she is 17 they do not notify us anymore. So her teacher finally started getting concerned and asked her why she was missing school because she is a good student. She told her teacher that her grandmother was ill (which was a lie!!) and that she would not miss anymore school. Her teacher emailed me to ask about it and to say if we needed anything not to hesitate to let he rknow. Of course I did not know she had missed any school because she was leaving the house every morning like usual and getting home like usual so when I got this email I was pretty upset with her. needless to say she was grounded for the rest of the school year and is no longer allowed to see the friend that was getting her to skip school anymore. (she has always loved school and never skipped prior to meeting this girl so I knew if we could cut her out of her life things should have changed back to normal) She did feel badly afterwards when she realized the consequences but it was not until about two weeks after that she actually realized what all the consequences were!!
