I totally agree with you. WTH? Seriously? Michael and I stayed awake a good 30 minutes afterwards complaining about it and looking it up to see how realistic it would be, especially considering the plan.

Hmmm...DH and I loved it...such magnificent creatures and a beautiful story. I liked it even more after watching the production crew's take on the whole thing.

I thought it was a beautiful story, as well. Seriously one of the best I've seen.

Well technically, wasn't it a man-o-war jellyfish? They are more poisonous if I am not mistaken.
And for those of you needing a clue I have two words for you...Seven Pounds (the movie that I think stunk with a capital "s")

I thought it was coolish what he was trying to do, I just think, as has been stated, that the presents would have been ruined.
I have to say that this movie reaffirmed why my husband has the hardest time ever surprising me. I had NEVER heard of the movie before, but I knew exactly what the plot would be just by reading the very vague description on the movie case.

Ah. I hadn't seen it yet. Although I guess I don't have to now.

It was a box jellyfish, their venom is "the most deadly in the animal kingdom" (according to Wiki :)), different than a man-o-war.

I thought the same thing about the jellyfish toxins wrecking things internally. But it all made sense to WHY he used it, so I had no complaints.
