In the 8 yrs he's worked there, we've never seen anything like this. Last time a certain group of folks came down, a few people higher up lost their job. Before all this, they decided that nobody would get a raise this year and we hoped that would be the end of it. Not so. Those same folks came a few days ago. Now everybody in management is gone from the warehouse, every shift. Every single supervisor is out. There *may* be one person, the top dog left but from the names hubby just emailed me and from the head count, that's it, best I can tell. Hubby is the *middle man* very lowest level management and his position is all that's left that we know of right now.
Praying people, please say one for us. I know God is in control and he'll see us through one way or the other, so I'm not stressing but this isn't really a warm and cozy thing to deal with either. I'm waiting on further emails from hubby.
Thanks ladies

It's been like this at Finning for my brother. He's been a nervous wreck for months now.

Crossing all my crossables and sending you guys lots of positive thoughts and good vibes, girl!

Wow, that has to be scary. They did this to my brother's job recently, came in and made everyone (the managers) reapply for their jobs only him and one other guy got to keep their jobs. Good luck!

Revlon. They are cutting some 400 people worldwide. I just talked to him and there are no "top dogs" left. Total amount of supervisors left in the whole warehouse is 4, and they will report to the plant manager (they run 24 hrs a day so that is not many). Scott's position is safe for now, otherwise they would have nobody to run the place.....he sits at the computer screen, yaks on the radio, tells the people on the lifts where to put this and that, takes calls from other departments in there of who needs what and makes sure it gets to them..that sort of thing. I feel really bad for the other guys in upper management :(

Now he says they're changing some stuff with the pensions and 401k. Heck, we've lost so much in 401k that it's laughable at this point. At least he still has a job.

Oh that stuff is always so scary and frustrating. If I was him I would probably start looking for other jobs now while he still has one in hopes that if he does lose his job he has already got something set up....I feel for you have been down that road many times its a terrible feeling...Big Hugs
