My wedding ring is done!!! (Skip down if you don't want to read my ramblings, lol.)
I had a design custom made when I couldn't find a band that I liked in a realistic price range. Since I do bridge design and inspections, during the summer months I'm often out underneath bridges, banging around on rusty girders, crawling around in the dirt (so glamorous :p). I adore the "fancy" anniversary bands that are super trendy right now for wedding bands, but I'm really paranoid about diamonds and all that dirt and rust dust. I don't wear my engagement ring out on inspections, but it's really important to me that my wedding band NOT leave my finger once it goes on during the ceremony (aside from extreme circumstances like surgery or something). I found a gorgeously engraved ring when we first went looking, and it was $1,300. Jordan said if we were going to spend that much money, I might as well get some dang diamonds :p So I worked with one of the engravers on a design that I liked, and this is the result! It's got a millgrain edge and a modified celtic design engraved in the middle (I'm big on my Irish roots, so this will let me hold onto that a little). And I love that it subtly ties into Jordan's band as well.
(My band is on top, my engagement ring in the middle, and Jordan's band on the bottom.)

ETA: Here's a close up on the rings. :)
