We used Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole at our pre-K graduation last year. It's my favorite happy little song. And appropriate, since we're in Kansas.

I just finished making our 1st grade slideshow yesterday. I had originally used "You've got a friend in me", but it is only 2:05 min long, so I wasn't able to get many pics on. So I changed mine to "I Hope You Dance" by Leann Womack, which is 4:50 minutes. It turned out sooo cute! I just got back a few minutes ago from taking them to her teacher, and she almost cried when she was watching it. Sooo.........YAY ME (clap, clap)!

for what age?? i guess you would prob have to transition into a few songs since they are so short.

Thanks for the suggestions!

4th grade and also K graduation. The 4th grade one will have a few different 'photo albums' each with their own song. Last year, I had about 5 albums. The teacher was very musical, so the songs were songs that the kids identified with from their year. The only one I added was a montage of pics from the year that didnt fit anywhere else. I used the 'The Best Day Ever"--the Spongebob song

I think a couple of fun songs would be Happy by Natasha Bedingfield, 1234 by Feist, Upside Down & We're Going to be Friends or Better Together by Jack Johnson. And, Bubbly by Colbie Caillat.

I make a slideshow for our Foreign Exchange Students every year. Last year we used You've Got a Friend in Me from Toy Story which would work. A few others I used in the same slideshow might not be ones that kids identify with, but I'll throw them out there just in case-- I used "You're Gonna Miss This" (can't think of the artist, might ask KCB-- didn't she just do a kit this year with that same theme?), Graduation by Vitamin C, and Time of Your Life by Green Day...
