Have any of y'all ladies ever used Psi Bands? They're an anti-nausea band that you wear on your wrists. They were started for morning sickness. But, they say it also works for car sickness. We're going on a two-week road trip & I get really car sick. I can take dramamine & I'm fine, but it knocks me out. So, I'll sleep the whole trip. I think I'm gonna order a set of these bands & see if they work. Just wondering if any of y'all have ever used them & have had them work for ya.

I used them when I was pregnant... 12 years ago. LOL! (Or something like them if not this brand). Honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference with wearing them, but to be fair, my morning sickness was beyond the average. I was on bedrest for several weeks because it had gotten so bad. So I'm probably not the best one to give a product review. LOL! I didn't try them again after that.

I used Sea-Bands when I was preggo and like Libby I was pretty bad, but it did seem to help a little.

I've used them before and I honestly didn't notice a big difference. We're going to Hawaii next week, so I just got a prescription for a patch for sea & car sickness. My mom swears by it. It's also not supposed to make you sleepy like Dramamine (it also knocks me out!). Anyway, it may be worth looking into!

my fil goes diving in the keys every year and he goes way out in the ocean and he swears by the patches as well. might be something to look into

ditto (well, except it was 4 yrs ago for me :p)

i was willing to try just about anything -- and did -- but still ended up hospitalized twice due to m/s. not fun.

have you tried the dramamine that's like ½ strength, deb?

Thanks y'all! Looks like it's not worth the money. lol
Yes, Linz, I've tried the 1/2 strength, and it didn't work. Also, just taking one pill doesn't work, gotta take 2.
I'll have to look into the patches.
My thing is, I get really bad car sickness. Even driving the 12 minutes to church, I get really nauseaus!

I used the seabands on our first cruise to Hawaii...I have this great picture of us at formal night with the captain...all dressed up...and there are the seabands still on my wrists...I forgot to take them off for the photo op...hahah :) they seemed to help a tad...but after a few days I just took em off and tried not to think about it. My son used to get really car sick...til he got glasses...they said his asigmatism caused it...had your eyes checked lately? hugs and good luck~!

I used them for morning sickness with my first pregnancy, and they seemed to help. I should have tried them again this time around -- not sure why I didn't. I hope they help you!

OK, I just picked up the patches from the pharmacy for our trip. I didn't have to see my doc-- he just called in the prescription to the pharmacy. It came with 5 patches for $8, so not bad. You put the patch on 30 minutes before leaving and then you can wear it for up to three days.

Allie, that's not bad at all. I'll have to call my doc & see if they'll call them in for me.

Questions about the patch. Where can you wear it? I've seen commercials for them & the always show them on the arm. Can I wear it on my stomach or back of my shoulder, like with the birth control patch?
Also, we're gonna be driving every day for those 2 weeks. You said it can be worn up to 3 days. Is that just that one patch? So, can I wear 1 for 3 days, and put a new one right on after I take that one off?
Also, is it water proof? Well, be swimming at hotels, I'm sure.

The patches have to be worn behind the ear according to my pharmacist. Apparently they're small enough that nobody can notice it. They're also waterproof. The bad news is that I was told that you can wear it for 3 days, but then you have to wait 3 days before putting another one on.
