Okay, y'all. I'm on this smoothie kick! I've been drinking one every morning for breakfast! I'm actually drinking my second one for the day right now. lol So, I usually just stick w/strawberry & banana. Sometimes I'll throw a few peaches in it. Share w/me your favorite smoothie recipes. Only 2 things though. 1) the only berry I like is Strawberries. And 2) I'm allergic to coconut. So, other than that, I'm up for just about anything! :)

I'm not all fancy and recipe-like. I just dump a bunch of crap in there. LOL
Usually frozen fruit (blueberries/strawberries/raspberries/some combination), a banana, a carton of whatever kind of yogurt I have, and then enough milk to make it the right consistency.

OK so you cant have my favorite but you could omit the coconut I guess. I dont really measure though so here is the ingredients:
pineapple (preferably fresh I hate canned pineapple)
banana
coconut
yogurt (plain or vanilla)
ice
honey to sweeten
put all in blender and blend until ice is chopped. Really yummy!!

Ok, so this probably doesn't constitute as a smoothie but they have it a Jamba Juice and I make it at home.
2 scoops of lime sherbet
frozen strawberries
lemonade
ice
Mix it all up well in a blender till smooth! Yummy!!

Id take rainbow sherbet and pink lemonade and blend them together in the blender. Oh it is so good and really nice on a hot summer dayOk, so this probably doesn't constitute as a smoothie but they have it a Jamba Juice and I make it at home.

You can always buy some whey protien powder and put a scoop in. It will add the protien and some calcium.
My favorite
frozen friut of choice
2 yogerts
1cup juice of choice
1 scoop protien powder (my mom used tofu...she loves it but its not for me)
1 banana

I make myself a smoothie 3-4x per week. My staple is 1 individual cup of yogurt (any kind but vanilla is YUMMY), 1/2 cup frozen berries (strawberries would work if you don't like any others), a splash of juice. Blend and enjoy.
Another good one that has less calories is REALLY simple - but it sounds similar to yours already. Its simply a banana, berries & a splash of water. Its really yummy too!

I bought a Magic Bullet recently and that thing gets used about 10 times a day by my family. I drink a smoothie every morning and every night. I use frozen strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries, or any fresh fruit I might have that isn't too much trouble. I'm not a fan of bananas so I don't use those. I also put whey protein in the morning, yogurt, some kind of juice, and crushed ice. Very healthy and low-cal! If the fruit is too tart, I might add some splenda.

I'm a smoothie fanatic too! I made one of my favorites this morning. Frozen Banana, skim milk, cocoa powder (or chocolate syrup), smooth peanut butter, a little bit of vanilla extract and some agave nectar if you didn't use already sweetened syrup (or you can use sugar or whatever sweetener you prefer) and depending on how thick you want it you can throw in some ice cubes and/or vanilla yogurt if ya want!
I'm a sucker for any banana/chocolate/peanut butter combo!
Oops, I forgot to say that I throw some wheat germ and or flax seed into my smoothies most of the time and also sometimes use soy milk instead of regular milk.

So, when you put the wheat germ or the protien powder in it or flax seed, can you taste it? How much do you put in?

I put 2 Tablespoons of whichever one I'm using. I use Whole Ground Flaxseed Meal and I really don't notice a big taste, maybe just a slight nutty flavor if anything? The Natural Raw Wheat Germ, I think, gives off more of a taste (but it's the same type of nutty taste as the flaxseed). I tend to use the wheat germ for more of the yogurty smoothies.
Heck, both of them are WAYYYYYY better and much more preferred by me than what my mom buys for me to take...She has me taking this Nutiva Hemp Oil (http://nutiva.com/products/9_oil.php). OMG, it says on the site (and bottle) a delicious nutty flavor???? What are they smokin???? I made smoothies with it and had to dump the whole thing and I couldn't even imagine making a dressing w/ it for a salad. GAG! I just plug my nose and take my big 'ol Tablespoon of it. <<<<BARF>>>> LOL!

Are those things good? My blender is total crap! I'm looking to replace it and those Magic Bullets looks super handy!

I have a Magic Bullet. It is really handy. But, I prefer to just use my blender, honestly. Mine still has chunks in the smoothie when I use my bullet. And, running it for 5 seconds, it starts smelling like the motor is going out. This is my second one & they both have done the exact same thing. I decided to just invest in a nicer blender!

I have a Magic Bullet and it's nice but it really isn't very big. It's fine if I'm just making a protein shake but anything else I use the blender.
