So, I've had this small bump on my left arm for a really long time... it's very light brown in color and sometimes kind of pink. Every now and then, it gets a little larger and turns red with an irregular border. The first time this happened, I freaked out that I might have skin cancer... but the bump went back to normal after a couple weeks. It turned red and irregular again during my pregnancy and my OBGYN told me that I shouldn't worry about it and it was probably just a hormone thing. Well, it's red and raised again and I'm kinda scared. If it hadn't had a history of changing back to normal, then I would've seen a dermatologist about it a long time ago. I think I should see one anyway (and will soon...promise), but wondered if anyone had any idea what could be going on. lol

Sorry if this was gross/TMI. ;)

I think you should see your dermatologist. ;) I'm sure it's nothing, but maybe it's time to find out what it is?

I don't know either, but I agree with Jennifer, you should see a dermatologist, just to find out for sure! It sounds like a hormonal thing, but you don't want to mess with something like that!

Definitely see the doctor, even if its only to stop yourself thinking bad thoughts and worrying.

During my pregnancy, my moles all changed colour too, and then reverted back - pregnancy does some very wiered and wonderful things to your body that noone tells you about until after it happens!

I had one of those after my last baby was born. I went into the dermatologist and he burned it off. He said it was a benign, oh darn, I can't remember what he called it. I only remember the benign part. LOL

It has never come back either after it was burned (frozen) off.

GO TO THE DR! ;)

skin does all kinds of wonky stuff... lots of it is "normal" weirdness though so you're probably fine, but still it's worth having looked at if even just to calm your mind, ya know?

keep us posted!

(and there is no such thing as TMI here, right?!?!?!?)

Glad to hear I'm not alone... but I will still get it checked out FOR SURE... as soon as I can get into the dermatologist. :)
