Hey everyone!!
Thank you so much for the prayers and positive thoughts for my dad!! Just to give you an update. He had his shoulder (left) replacement yesterday and he made it through just fine. He was supposed to have his foot reconstructed at the same time, but the surgeon that was supposed to do it postponed it because he was at the hospital the entire night before on an emergency and didn't want to perform surgery when he wasn't refreshed and rested. So, that surgery will be tomorrow. So if you would please continue to send up Ps and PTs for him, we would be so grateful! His name is Chuck by the way! LOL
A few of you asked about the accident itself. My dad's truck was so badly damaged that the police told him (after they used the jaws of life on it to get him out) that they didn't expect to see a live body in his truck. Right there is miracle #1. The very first thing my dad asked was if anyone else was badly hurt. The police told him that he was the worst injured of this accident, so there is miracle #2.
The impact of the hit was so intense that it popped his lenses right out of his glasses.
Thank you all so much for the Ps and PTs. It means so much to us (my mom has read this thread) that you all would remember him. I told her that this was the most loving and caring community that I've ever known!! She agrees!!
Love to you all!
