my new bedroom set!

We have had such cheap dressers and beds for so long, that we finally decided that we deserved something nice. these are solid wood, not that fiberboard crap. the drawers open up so nicely. the tall chest is Chads and i get the long one; there are 9 drawers in that sucker! i don't think i have enough clothes to fill it, lol. there is a mirror that goes on it but the ceiling is a few inches too low in this bedroom. so it'll have to wait til we are able to get our dream house someday.

Chad was sleeping in these pics, you can see his arm by the nightstand, lol. the bed has a footboard too, with rounded tops on the corners. its SO gorgeous, the pics don't do it justice. :wub:

Very nice Corey! I got a new bedroom set when we moved a few months ago and LOVE it! It's the perfect style for me, although we'll be paying for it for a year. LOL

We have been married 10 years and haven't even gotten a set yet! The kids all have these nice sets and we have crap. LOL! We decided that would be our gift for Christmas this year, a nice bedroom set.

My goal was to get a new bedroom set when we bought our house- a year later we still don't have it! lol! We've been renovating pretty much the whole house (including peeling wallpaper and painting every single room except our bedroom!) I figure when I get around to doing our bedroom walls, I'll be motivated to get some nice furniture then! For now we have the junk fiberboard stuff! I can't stand it and the bottoms of the drawers always pop out, but oh well! (Our closet is super-tiny, too which sucks!)

we got financed for $1500, the remaining $940 i just paid yesterday before they'd deliver it. the payment is $132 a month, but we will be paying extra and getting it paid off waaay earlier. i can't even believe we got financed at all! our closet is tiny too; and i still have some clothes, mostly winter, packed away that i'm not even going to worry about getting out yet. tonight i have the big job of finishing up laundry and starting to fill up the dressers!

that's awesome...DH and I decided we are gonna treat ourselves to a brand new mattress when we get back from vacation....my 2 littest ones have a nice bed and dresser {they each have 1} but the 2 oldest can't decide what they want so they kinda have a hodge podge of furniture :)

Gorgeous!! Our bedroom set consists of my dresser & chest of drawers I brought with me from home (which are nice, solid wood pieces) and our headboard is a reject from the RV place Joel used to work at. He dug it out of the dumpster. LOL

Congrats! Isn't it a nice feeling? I love new anything for the house. Last year my DH made us a super functional bed per my request, mostly out of scraps...I'm sure many would be horrified but I love it LOL I wish I had a new mattress to go with it.

I had to get a 6-drawer dresser...I have always wanted one and since we were spending big bucks on the new set (& mattress set) I was gonna get what I wanted dammit! LOL Here's my bed. The room is too small to get a pic of both the bed & dresser at the same time.

i love that! the blanket too! for christmas (or earlier, lol) i'm hoping for some new bedding. we've had this green set for almost 4 yrs and i'm bored with it. i want something in chocolate brown and a dusty blue color. i have several picked out, lol.

I lucked out...went to Zellers and got the set for $70 and it included everything...comforter, bed skirt, 2 shams and accent pillows! It's really comfy :) The curtains I got the next week at Zellers...not the same brand or anything, but they match perfectly! I'm going to cut them down and use the extra material to make a cornice for the window.

Congrats to the two of you! We bought a new bedroom set for our 9th wedding anniversary and I still think (other than my brand new dining room set) that it's the nicest thing we own (furniture wise). It's so wonderful to come into our room at night and feel excited about the way it looks and feels. I hope you have the same feelings about your furniture for many years to come.
