I finally took the plunge and painted Jessica's room yesterday! Of course she wanted PINK, so i painted the whole thing a bubble gum pink and then did stripes on the one wall. I still need to move all her stuff back in the room and decorate, but I think the paint job came out really sweet! :)

danke!

it took me all day yesterday i started around 11am and was done around midnight.

the room is 12x14, so i think the first shot makes it look more narrow than it is.

and YES it is a lot of pink! she is a happy princess i tells ya! (til she hates pink) ;)

Cute, princess! {<--getting it right}

When Avery was around 7, I did her room with pink/white stripes up top and purple along the bottom and a chair rail border of disney princess stuff. She was out on family campout {my husband's family --I'm allergic to camping}, so she didn't know I was doing it. She HATED it! But I left it for years. I was going to re-do it last summer, and then all of a sudden, she had a change of heart. She really hates change, and now the room is nostalgic to her. She's wayyyy too old for it though, so we are discussing some "compromise" decor.

So just how did you get your lines perfectly straight?

i enlisted DH's help... we used a laser to make the line across the wall then I taped where the line was. it got VERY tricky as we got higher and higher! ;)

My 17y/o daughter said she likes it alot. She said it looks like a bubblegun candycane :-) (which she chews bubblegum 24/7 so I think that is a compliment LOL)
