lol okay this is totally random and pointless but it was something that I kept wondering about and all I had to do was google it and bam! got my answer lol

DH and I watched Inkheart the other night. (LOVED the book..the movie - meh) but anyway, they just showed a couple of flashbacks of Dustfinger's wife right? and I was like "that was Jennifer Connelly, why is that Jennifer Connelly in a very minor role with basically no lines?" right? DH just shrugged b/c he could care less but I got my sleuthing shoes on and finally remembered to google it today and the REASON IS.....

Dustfinger in real life is the actor Paul Bettany who is married in real life to Jennifer Connelly who was visiting him on the set of Inkheart one day and agreed on a whim to play his wife in the movie...and those are his real children too! which I did not know but now I do thanks to the world wide web! :)

so now I can move on with my life... :p

LOL! I felt the same way, Nikki - Inkheart the book was wonderful, the movie, meh. DS enjoyed it because he hadn't read the book, yet, but it's on his reading list this year to read the real thing!

ITA about the book being way better. And that's funny you should mention that about Jennifer Connelly because I wondered the same exact thing but just never thought to look it up :D

Yes... the internet rocks. Somebody remind me what we did without it? Or maybe not, I don't think I could handle it lol

see this is one of the top reasons the internet is so wonderful.. haha!

I am one of those when watching a movie if I recognize the actor or actress it drives me NUTS because i'm trying to figure out who it is.. well that was before the internet because now we have the wonderful world of IMDB where I often go to figure out what else the person has been in. haha :)

too funny! I haven't seen that movie but I do look up all kinds of random things almost everyday. My 3 yr old will even say "maybe we can google it" if I say I don't know the answer to something!

That's why I sit with the laptop open and on my lap while we're watching TV...questions always pop into my head so I go and look it up right away! It feels weird not watching TV without searching for something on IMDb or some other site!

LOL I was wondering the same thing - why such a minor role?

Didn't think much of the movie adn didn't even realise it was actually a real book - so now I'm off to scour the net for a copy :)

It's actually a series by Cornelia Funke (The Thief Lord)
Inkheart
Inkspell
Inkdeath

LOVE them...one of my favorite series for adolescents :)
