Please keep my cousin, Jennifer & her 5 young children in your thoughts and prayers....On Sept. 12th, Jennifer & her husband, Wes moved their family to South Carolina from New York State....Their decision was not an easy one, since all of their families are here in NY, but their Landlord had given them 30 days to move since he lost his job as a Corrections Officer and therefore, needed to be able to live in the home that they had been renting from him (since the mortgage was paid)....Not being able to find any place big enough for the 7 of them, they decided to move to South Carolina to start over....Last night, when Wes & Jennifer went to bed, he asked her if she was happy after moving so far from family, friends, etc. and she told him "yes"....He told her if she was happy, then he was happy too....They said "I Love You" to each other and went to sleep....A couple of hours later Jennifer woke up to hear that Wes was breathing very labored....She turned the light on, but it was to late, he had passed away....
Naturally, she and her children will come home to NY to be with family until they can get on their feet....Her parent's were supposed to leave at 11 a.m. this morning to go pack up what Jen & Wes had unpacked in the short amount of time that they had been in South Carolina but in the process of getting the car ready--changing the oil & a tire, her Dad had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance....Since he has a history of heart problems, they thought he might have had a heart attack....So far, the hospital is going to keep him overnight for observation, but at this point they think that it was anxiety....Thank God there were a couple of other family members and a good friend of Jennifer's that could go help pack them up and bring them safely home to NY for her parent's....
Sorry for such a long post, but my heart aches for my Cousin & her 5 young children....The youngest boy, Isaiah who is only 4 years old told my sister on the phone that "God took his Daddy, but that he would see him tomorrow"....How very, very sad.....
If you could, please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers....
Thank you!
