In reference to 9/26's cookie.....help with something!

Okay, I'm just a month or two into using Photoshop Elements and need some help with something!

On yesterday's cookie template one of the items on template is a wavy piece of paper. How in the world do you create the wave? IS PSE7 capable of doing that?

Since the cookies are template, you don't need to re-create the wave. You can just clip your paper of choice to the wave layer and it'll take it's shape. Use control +g or control+alt+g, I can't remember.

For PSE7 it's control+g. Make sure your paper is on top of the wave layer and your paper is the layer that is highlighted.

You really can't in PSE as far as I can tell. It looks like the person who made the original that the template was based on used Libby's Paper Clips: Wavy to acheive the look. usually if I am trying for some weird shapes, I use paper shapers by different designers.

All of the cookies here are templates. When you open up the .psd or the tiff file in PSE, it should have layers.

Yup, no way to make the wave is PSE...that is a Photoshop trick, like CS4. Or, as suggested, a clipping mask. Good luck, templates are such a great way to get started! :thumbup:;)

You can do a wave in PSE, at least in PSE8 you can. Filter>Distort>Wave gets you to the dialogue box to set up all the parameters. I can try to get a detailed tutorial up later this week if peeps are interested.

YOu could also reuse that piece from the cookie.
