Does anyone use these products? I saw the infomercial one night and it looked really awesome. So, I went to the store and tried out a few things in person. I ended up just going home with the starter foundation kit. Took it home, tried and loved it! I went back today to get more (eyeshadow, lipstick, etc) and my credit card is on fire. Wooo....things add up quickly. They have all these great little prepacked items so you can try a bunch of different colors or brushes and such for less than if you bought them separately.

I have sort of a love hate relationship with makeup and this is the first product that has actually made me look pretty good and has stayed in place all day. Anyway, just wanted to know if anyone else likes their products, or is it just me?

I discovered Bare Escentuals during my cosmetology training. My now BFF sold it. I was hooked and it is ALL I use. Nothing else for me. It is expensive to build your collection starting off. I think I spent around $500 initially but, over the last 3 years...I only spend about $75 a year on replacement products. Which is my foundation, bisque and mineral veil.

The eye shadows, eye liners, etc. last forever. I have had my black and brown eyeliners for 3 years and you can hardly tell they have been used.

So good for your face. Nothing better IMHO.

It's all I use, when I take the time to use make-up,lol. I buy it off QVC, they often have better deals than what you might find elsewhere, however, the BE catalogue is great.
We live nowhere close to a city where you'd likely find a store is the reason I'd use the Q to purchase my stuff. It's a great product :)

La recommended Everyday Minerals (http://www.everydayminerals.com/store/)... and I loooooooove it! I was debating ordering Sheer Cover or BE... but decided to try EM because it was cheaper. I have really sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me at all. I also love their yummy eye shadow and blush colors (I have TONS).

Not too long after I bought EM, DH and I broke down in the middle of the desert and it was (I'm not lying) 114 degrees outside. We were stuck out there for 2.5 hours and my makeup actually stayed on. :D lol

Love it. Love it. Love it.

Cleanser, "foundation", and hydrating mineral veil - cannot be without, and am snobbish enough to shamelessly admit I budget carefully to not accept any imitation.

Invested in the kabuki brush - and have not regretted it - along with some more brushes and with brush care, i can rationalize/justify my love for this line.

Still working through a boatload of eye cosmetics gifts, so haven't used too much of the line, but really love the mascara.

I am addicted to BE. I've been using it for 10 years, so I have quite the collection. I could honestly give 3/4 of my stuff away, and I'd still have enough to last me 5 lifetimes. LOL! (and I can't stop buying the new kits that Leslie comes out with!)

I had so much I sold off a bunch of it...and I still have too much! I can't use the foundation these days. The bismuth oxychloride makes my skin itch. I use another foundation, then BE products over it.

I am definitely a low maintenance kind of girl, and that whole "you don't even have to wash your face at night" hooked me.

So I used it for about a year or so. But then admitted that it seemed to be wearing off before the end of the day.

Am I the only one with that problem? So I switched to a different pressed powder foundation that I can discreetly re-apply at my desk.

BE is all I've used since High School (which is at least 10 years now - trying to remember what year I switched). My mom found it and let me order some stuff, and I was sold.

I've had the same black liner pot for at least 5 years and it's barely even made a dent in it. And I love that since it's all natural, I don't have to worry about it spoiling or whatever the heck happens to chemically makeup after that long. I haaaaaaaaaaaaate foundation, but I broke down and bought a starter set of teh foundation 4 years ago, and now I love it. I still don't go all out very often, but I look damn good when I do :p

I haven't had problems with it coming off at all....that is why I really fell in love with it. Plus, it looks so natural. I was using a MAC creamy foundation that came in a compact and you would apply it using a brush. That was nice, but I hated the feeling of having a mask on. IDK, BE seems to be so much more light and natural to me....and yet, I have a nice finished look to my face. Also, I was having problems with my MAC products...like, I would put on my eyeshadow, liner and mascara and within 15 minutes, it would be seeping down under my eyes. Drove me nuts. I think the creaminess in the foundation would react with my eye make up and just make a mess on my face.

I still love the MAC eyeliners...they go on so easily and smoothly and they have worked better with the BE foundation

As for pricing, I actually find the BE line to be not THAT expensive. For example, I just bought a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow at Nordstrom for like $22 bucks....the BE eyeshadows are only $13 bucks. Much better!

I tried BE but it seemed to do nothing for me. Plus my face felt just ever so slightly itchy or something. I could feel that I had it on. But that could have been in my head too b/c I usually wear zero makeup. Once I went to the BE store and had them put it on me. And they LAYERED the stuff on, like more layers than on a Cindy S layout lol. So not the minimal application like they showed on the infomercials. Which made me think that I am not a good BE candidate.

My friend uses it and her skin looks great when she has it on.

I really need something now too. My skin is all splotchy. :glare:

I  BE. I've been using it for 2 years and I've never looked back! I love how light it feels on my face. I tried a couple of the other mineral makeups at the same time, but had incredible problems with shine and "melting" (that every so technical term that describes what happens to makeup here in Houston!). I have not had any problems with BE! And, I find it lasts a lot longer than the traditional liquid foundations I used to use (Estee Lauder, Lancome, etc.), and a lot less expensive.

I have been thinking of giving it a try. I still have quite a bit of my current mineral makeup (by Smashbox) that I want to finish up. I like it okay, but I am the type that is always trying something new. BE is next on my list. :)

I have been using it for about 4 months now and I love it! It was actually a suggestion from my boyfriend because he hated the makeup I was using.

I am lucky enough to have a Bare Escentuals store at my local mall. So I just got some eyeliner, eyeshadow and a liner brush and I love it! It goes on so nicely.

I do want to go back and try the cleanser stuff. I hope to get some more for Christmas. I don't think I could ever go back to regular makeup.

i have really wanted to try this. i have acne prone skin and some faint scarring. i have to be careful what i use. i dont wear a lot; right now i use Almays Smart Shade in the tube. very light and i love it. i use proactive, and i'm trying to get my skin back to looking better (didnt have any for awhile and i can tell, lol) sometimes if my skin looks really good, i'll just wear powder but thats rare. i wear eyeshadow and mascara, sometimes eyeliner.

the prices scare me though. DH would have a fit, lol.

i am looking at the website and they have starter sets starting at $29.99. probably small sizes but maybe i could try it and if i like it get more. i don't think i have any place that sells it, maybe Elder Bereman? i'll have to look.

what color am i? i dont think i'm 'fair' maybe 'light'? i don't burn real easily but i do have redness in some spots. no freckles. hmm

Personally, I don't like them at all. I have a bag full of their stuff too, and I should just throw them out. I might try all the eye shadows again though, since they didn't bother my eyes at all. The face powders settle in my large pores though, and make them look bigger. I've talked to them about this and they admit is a problem with gals who have skin like mine. One of my sisters uses it though (different skin than mine) and she loves it.
