i'm having my brother and his girlfriend over for dinner tomorrow (enchiladas, brothers request, lol) and Chloe also has two birthday parties this weekend; one on Saturday at a gymnastics place, and one on Sunday at the skate rink. neat, very creative parties! now i have to figure out what to get 2 7 yr old girls, under $10 each cause finances are tight. i guess i'll take Chloe and let her pick.

Chloe hasn't had much experience skating so that one may be fun. i think i'll stay and help her. i used to be a really good skater. but its been years and i'd rather rollerblade, lol. maybe i'll take my camera and get some cute pictures!

Oh have fun! my DD (7) started to have the skater parties last year. Put your DD on roller blades, they are easier to learn than the skates. DD got her own blades for her birthday this year and she is doing better and better. Last week there was another party and this time I took the blades with me and gave it a go SOOOOO much FUN!

You will always find nice books for that price - about fairies and it should be a hit ;) Or little craft kits, usually they are inexpensive.

We have a busy weekend planned here too! Tonight Kaylie has a Girl Scouts Old Fashioned Cowtown Christmas event that she is going to and then in the morning another GS event called Festival of Giving. Plus tomorrow is her 8th birthday so we are going roller skating in the afternoon with a couple of her friends and then will be having dinner and cake and ice cream and opening gifts. So I have a cake to bake in the morning, at least her gifts are already wrapped. Hopefully Sunday we'll finally be able to relax a bit!

Oh sounds like a fun weekend. Roller or ice skating?

Just an idea: I picked up a Disney Princess doll for under $8 at WalMart for a Christmas gift. They actually have a lot of toys under $10 this year.

its roller skating. i've never been ice skating.

and i think i'm about to take Chloe to Walmart so she can help pick. i was looking at a little jewelry bead kit to make necklaces. Chloe loves to do that and i figured most little girls probably do too. either that or some kind of little doll or maybe a game. they have some cheap ones.

we went ahead and grabbed two Disney Princess dolls, lol. thats what Chloe wanted to get. easy! pink wrapping paper and two cute fifty cent cards and we are good to go!
