The 10 moments you'll never forget? For the Book of Me challenge in this month's portfolio.

Gosh, I'm having a hardtime. So far I have 8.

I saw that and was wondering if they have to all be the positive things. I know there are lots of things that are memorable to me but are not necisarily happy...some are sorta bittersweet or even sad.

They definitely don't have to be 10 happy things. It just says 10 things. So it can be all happy, all sad, or a mix of whatever.

This is what I have so far.

1. The day that Keira was born.
2. The day that Cooper was born.
3. The day Sean and I got married.
4. The Storm of the Century in Horseshoe Beach, Florida.
5. The day that my Granny Ethel died.
6. September 11, 2001
7. My 12 week ultrasound with Cooper
8. The first time Keira saw Cooper
9. The day President Obama was elected

Not in any order, I still need that last one.

Great post Vanessa - gonna try to see how many I can come up with. Here's my list...

1) When I was in 4th grade Santa gave me a box of catfood and told me to look in the bathroom for a special present. I ran in there thinking "OMGosh a new kitten" - went in, couldnt find anything. Came back out to mom crying and she was like "what?!". Silly kitten had crawled in between the layers of the little bed my mom had made it from some blankets.

2) The day any of my three kids were born - each birth was special and different and I remember specific things that happened at each event.

3) The day Rocky proposed to me. We were in San Diego for spring break, had had a beautiful dinner, gone on a horse and carriage ride by the bay and when he popped the question back in our room, I said yes and then threw up the rest of the trip.

4) The day our dog Charlie died a few months back.

5) My grandpa's funeral and being the only person in the family who wouldn't go look at his body. Loved him soooo much, but just don't get that at all.

6) Our last day in Hawaii on our recent trip. Smooching as the sun set while valet was grabbing our car so we could head to the airport. Bittersweet.

7) My wedding day.

8) The day my mom had a stroke back in October. Worst phone call of my life to date.

9) Katie's first "big show" - she's the first of our kids to perform and watching her do it was such a "proud mom moment".

10) How much we hated the Disney Cruise on our honeymoon. LOL.

OOOh vanessa - I love your "world" events like 9/11 and Obama being elected.

1.the day my husband and I got married

2.the birth of my three children.

3.the day my neice and nephew died in a house fire.

4.the day my nephew came back to see us after being put up for adoption and being gone for 18 years.

5.the day my husband and I seperated for a year

6.the day we reconciled and I moved back home .

7.the day my daughter did her solo performance at school. She dedicated the song to me as a combination brithday present and mother's day present. She sang one of my favorite songs called "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore. She was amazing.

8.the first time I voted in a presidential election. I was 32 years old. I just never really got around to registering and going in to vote was such a big deal for me (even though the person I voted for did not win)

9.the day my mom died. We had not talked for a really long time because honestly my mother was never really a mom to me. It still was a painful thing to go through because it meant I would never have the relationship with my mother that I longed for.

10.the car accident my husband, son and I were involved in on November 23rd, 2008. I have pain in my neck and headaches as well as numbness from time to time in my arm/hand. The guy who hit us lied and so its been a long drawn out ordeal because of his lies.

I did my page, I'm still trying to figure out that last one.

I feel like I want it to be another event in History.

I have a few more that I would never forget.

Hurricane Charley and Hurricane Andrew...

when the shuttle blew up on take-off. I can remember nearly every detail of that day.

then the explosion when the shuttle was coming in for a landing.

the day we made our final payment on our mortgage. I cannot say how much of a relief it was to know we owned our home no matter what happened.

in a few months I will be able to add the day my daughter graduates high school.

No, I guess the day I got of the Air Force could count. I guess that was important. LOL!

Didn't you live in Alaska for awhile? (I hope I'm not thinking of someone else!) I know one of my 10 will be the day I left for Alaska - I just knew I was going off to a barren wasteland! ;) Of course the day I left there could be on the list too!

yeah, I did live in Alaska for 3 years. I'm thinking I might put my first day in Japan, I just have to find a photo to scan.

My problem is narrowing it down! I apparently have a really good memory and probably could come up with 100 things I could not forget. DS#2's first year of life would take 10 all by itself! I do like how you all combined the kiddos births since they are all very important, but you don't necessarily want to rank them one over another.

Let see...

1. My wedding day
2. Carrie's birth
3. Molly's birth
4. Day I quit my last job.
5. Day I got into law school
6. Day I passed the bar
7. Day I got into my first store CT
8. Day my grandpa died
9. Day I found about Carrie's allergies
10. Day we moved into "our house."

I could do more.

1. Jan 08, 1991 - the day I joined the Navy

6. Nov 30, 2008- the day I left my family for Kuwait {the hardest day of my life}

6. October 2009- the day I woke up

Were you in a coma? I don't really remember that...

I LOVE this prompt because I have lots of memories that don't really deserve their own page but are still important to me. I had trouble limiting it to 10.

1. The summer before 10th grade talking with Craig Campbell about how everything would change when we went high school, and he put him arm around me and promised me that he wouldn't change...he then proceeded to spend high school in a drunken stupor. :(
2. The first time I went home in college only to find that I had suddenly become the queen of the world in my parents eyes and to realize that they actually weren't as dumb as I had always thought.
3. When I transferred to OBU and Dawn the girl tried to talk me out of joining her flag football team...and then became my vbff.
4. Trying out for the swim team my jr year of college, thinking I'd probably be pretty good...only to find out that they were nationally ranked and spending the next month learning how to survive daily drownings.
5. Going back to Jakarta a month after we first visited (and couldn't understand anything) and being able to carry on a conversation.
6. Stepping on a scale for the first time in over a year after we moved to Indonesia and realizing that my pants didn't fit because I had gained ten lbs...and the obsession with exercise and eating well that followed.
7. Looking at Jack for the first time and thinking, "THAT is what we've been waiting for?!"
8. Laying on the operating table getting my epidural to have Max and thinking that I was NEVER going to do this again because having to go six hours without eating was just unacceptable.
9. The first time I bathed outside in the village with a bak in a sarong...with an audience of like fifty people.
10. Waking up in our hotel room in Bali and realizing Jack wasn't in it...the worst fifteen minutes of my life were spent running hysterically over the grounds of the largest resort on the island trying to find my baby.

What can I say...I'm wordy.
