I'm wanting to put text in a specific shape of an element on my lo. I want the text to be overtop of the shape.. I tried looking for tuts on how to put text into a shape or text path, but haven't found any that I understand. Does anyone know of a good tut for this, or can explain it to me? Any help appreciated!

I always create a path for my text for several reasons, even if I just want a square! Here's why:

1. it automatically creates breaks in each line, and even intelligently splits words in half with a hyphen. (like "experiment" would be changed to "experi-" on the first line and "ment" on the second line).
2. You can easily re-size the path if you get it wrong or need more space, and all of the lines are re-sized accordingly.

I don't use a path to create a square/rectangle shape because if you click and drag with the text tool it will automatically create a text box that auto wraps and auto hyphenates. You can also resize the text box by clicking in it to edit it and then drag the boxes handles - you must be editing the text for this to work otherwise you will resize the text.
