lol. i have finished filling out the paperwork to get help with schooling since DH is a veteran. i could go for free or really cheap. i'll probably end up doing something quick. thinking like pharmacy technician. but it doesn't sound exciting. but i almost feel like now that i'm 31 years old and married with 3 kids that i can't really justify doing something i really would love to do. i need something that i know i will have a good chance of finding a job in. there are pharmacies all over town. i know i'd find a job once i was done. but i secretly have always wanted to go to school just to learn everything i have ever found interesting. since i fancy myself as Indiana Jone's biggest fan, i would LOVE to be some sort of archaeologist. it sounds sooo fun! but i can't really justify traipsing all over the planet searching for artifacts since i have a family now, lol. i used to want to be an architect, a marine biologist, and a graphic designer. none of those are very realistic anymore. it saddens me. but i should have gone when i was younger. instead I got married to an soldier, traveled and had kids and here i am ten years later.
so, if you could go to school for anything, what would it be?

I would go back and finish the degree I started in and thought was taking too long, architecture. Now I sit here with a degree in Political Science that I have done nothing woith, but make payments on. Now I am too old, if I went back it would be to get a teaching degree cause that is more practical for me now.

Well, I worked for a company that as long as you had a four year degree you were considered to be hired.... on my team for teaching software we had everything from a degree in archaeology to environmental management to zoology.
I think a really cool job would be set designer for movies... I *love* to watch where they put product placement on tv shows, etc. Or I'd like to go in advertising... or maybe graphic design... oohh, a food stylist. Ha, ha... yeah, I want to do a lot of things... one of the reasons why I changed my major 6 times until I finally graduated.

I was hoping to get to go back to school this past fall...then found out I was pregnant with #3.
I think I may start taking some classes to fulfill my GenEd online this year & eventually completing a BS in Nursing (I started with that goal 8 years ago when I got out of HS) I've always wanted to work in the medical profession, preferably with children & babies. Hopefully I can get a job in OB or L&D or something simialar.
In the mean time, I will continue learning about photography & growing that small side business... :)

I probably wouldn't go back to traditional college ever again. I graduated with a degree in Communication and minor in Poli Sci. I then went to law school and graduated and I am now a lawyer, which I love. 7 years of schooling like that is more than enough for me. I would probably go to culinary school or audit art classes.

The whole idea scares me right now. I finished a masters degree in public health about a year before having my 1st child and becoming a SAHM. At the time I thought I'd be working part time, which is why I got the degree. The idea of making myself employable again scares me. I don't want to go back to school for a new degree...too much time and money to invest all over again. I hope that I'll be able to just take a few classes to refresh my MPH. If that idea pans out, I'd love to go back to work for a healthelated non-profit or a county health department. If I can't find work in that field, I have no idea what I'd do. I also feel like I need something more practical/employable than my dream careers would be.

I'm 4 years into a degree for Early CHildhood Education and after being off this year am starting to wonder if that's even what I want to do anymore.
What I want to do is write and illustrate a children's book. Don't need school for that.

I want to be a photographer...my love and passion...that simple....I am a lab treh by trade }kinda on the same lines and field as a pharmacy tech} and I actually really enjoy it, mbut don't want to do it once I retire from the Navy next year! I will do what I can get by until I can become a photgrapher and either work in a studio or have my own :)

I want to write Bible Studies when I grow up b/c I can never find ones that go deep enough for me... So...down the road I'd like to get another masters in some sort of theology...
Oh, and I want to teach financial planning, maybe at the junior college level.

If it was going just for fun, I'd go to photography school. :) But I don't want to do that as a job b/c I'm afraid I'd get burnt out on it and I don't want to not love photography. lol
If it was for a job, I'd finish my masters' degree in education so I can get higher pay. :)

I want to be a speech pathologist. I have worked with my son and his SP for the last two years and I totally eat it up! I never would of guess this if someone would of asked me a couple of years ago.
I already have plans to go back to school. I will start the process next school year (this fall). I am nervous and excited all at the same time! It is a Master's program so I have a long ways to go.........I am a few credit hours short of my associates degree!
BTW.....you are never to old to realize your dream and go for it!

A nurse.. I want to be a nurse badly. :)
I am a single mom, and baaaarely squeak by some months as it is, so I have all but given up this dream lots of times, but I have just recently told myself, that is not okay, I live ONE time, I intend on doing all I can with it. So once I reach a point that school is "do-able" I am TOTALLY 350% doing it.

I just have to add that when people asked me when I was in Law School what kind of law I wanted to do, I always said "Anything but criminal and if I had to do it, only prosecution" Fast Forward 4 years, I am doing criminal defense and I can't imgaine doing anything else! I love my work, mostly because of my wonderful co-workers. It just goes to show never say never!

I would for sure go back, finish my history/political science degree. Go to law school, and be broke practicing civil rights law.
As it stands, I'm working towards sitting for the IBCLE exam and becoming a certified lactation consultant, which is no easy task.
ETA that you can also add me to the list of folks that would love to go to culinary school.

The reason I decided not to do law school after spending all that money applying and getting a stinkin degree in Political Science is cause I couldn't imagine myself doing any sort of law work. I am not one of those really confident people and I am pretty shy, I wondered how I could be up there all confident and secure like you would have to be to pratice law.
