Acer Aspire One 10.1" Netbook Computer - Garnet Red (AO532h-2730)
I am hoping it will fit in my large purse ... but want to get like a sleeve or something (not plain black...ick!) to keep it from getting scratched up.
What do you have covering your netbook? Is it a sleeve you bought somewhere ... or an ETSY find? ... I am thinking maybe of just getting some quilted fabric (if I can find some I like) and making a sleeve for it...but don't know if it will collapse trying to put the netbook in it and be a pain...
Just curious what you all use???
I have a Pinders bag for my laptop ... but will carry this netbook everywhere that I am not planning on scrapbooking (my laptop is a 17" so is kinda on the heavy side)... i.e. Robotics competitions (with my Sprint Mi-Fi so I can keep the team up-to-date on our ranking in the competition), in the van, at the bowling alley ... so I can chat with Stacy!

I dont have one but my daughter does. Im on it now actually. Id like to get her a cover because right now hers is covered in fingerprints and starting to get some scratches. I think itll fit in most normal sized purses and it is really lightweight. Youll probably take a little while getting used to how tiny the screen is if you have not used one before. My daughte absolutely loves hers. They are awesome for students too and really afforable.

I just wanted to say congrats on it. We got my husband one for work/school stuff. Its much better than him taking his 19 inch laptop everywhere. We spent way too much on it for him to hurt it. I got him a plain black sleeve and he puts it in his backpack with his ACU's. (He's a guy and is not into fashion.)

ditto to Brittney... the netbook is hubby's and he has a basic no frill black one... he won't even let me get a different color than black... such an engineer!

Well the funny story behind this is ORIGINALLY dh was going to get me an Ipod! I read reviews at Best Buy and they were saying don't get anything smaller than a 32GB because you will fill it up too fast with music and apps ... so then I started talking to my boys (they both have 8 GB and one is totally filled without any apps on it) and they said yes get the bigger one ... actually the 21yo tried to convince me to BUY HIM the 32GB and he would generously GIVE me the 8 GB...yeah...no. lol So I started talking to him about what the Ipod could do or not do ... well it wouldn't let me in chat rooms, it couldn't play instant Netflix movies, it couldn't play youtube or hulu ... and a few other things. Then he told me "Mom for $3 more you can have a netbook with a 160 GB hard drive and it will do ALL of that and more!" ... he said we could even hook it up to the cassette player adapter and be able to listen to my songs in the van....so we went with the netbook.
I have a skin on my 17" laptop (which is heavy but I carry it lots of places) and I got it from skinit.com ... it's fun to create your own 'sticker'. I got mine free with Coca Cola points I entered online on the myrewards.com site.
I figure this will be good to take just everywhere with me ... I can bring my Sprint Mi-Fi with me so I can have internet anywhere ... I can keep up on robotics "standings" at competition, I can chat in messenger, and I can see Sneak Peeks on Fridays...shop the Shoppe, etc. lol I bet the screen will seem a bit small to me...but since I'm not scrapbooking on it ... I don't think it will bother me too much.

actually believe it or not when I was having issues on my computer and needed to upload a layout I used my daughters netbook to scrap. It worked fine except her color needs to be adjusted a tad. It is kinda small but it works in a pinch though so you could do some scrapping if you wanted to. I think what youll like the most is the size and weight its like its hardly there. Oh and you can plug a larger monitor in too if you need a larger screen while at home.
