View Full Version : can anyone show me some awesome baby showers
I also have a close friend who I have to plan a baby shower for, and then of course sooner or later I'll have mine.
I really want to have tons a fun with it, so I wanted to see some other showers.
Also I would really love to make my own baby shower invites.

Mine was 4 years ago and I don't have any really good pictures of it, but it was blue, everything. I had blue decorations, blue prizes, blue cake, blue favors, everything that could be blue was blue. I was really excited to be having a boy. :) One thing that got tons of compliments is, I didn't want to play the cheesy baby shower games, done that enough, so we talked, we ate, I opened presents and we brought in a manicurist and a person who does Raki (or something like that, it was a friend of my mom's). Everyone had a ton of fun just relaxing and talking. I still wanted to have some fun though so we gave prizes, 1 for the person wearing the most blue, 1 for the person to pick the pre-chosen nail color first (3 different shades of blue, everyone really enjoyed the unusual color chose for nails and lots of people said they got lots of compliments on it) and the first person to ask me if we had a name chosen yet. It was fun. The favors were personalized {blue} M&Ms.

i threw a similarly themed shower for a friend last summer. i made these invitations: well, upon further searching, i can't find the photo i took. i'll look tomorrow and repost if i find it. basically they were popcorn bags, and i took popcorn-patterned paper, punched it out with a large six-petal flower, then glued it to the top of the paper that the shower information was printed on.
oh love it!! the pop flowers are so cute!!

In November I threw a tea party themed baby shower for my friend and it was a huge hit! Everyone wore their party hats decorated, we had little baby shower themed sugar cubes for the tea, etc. It was a lot of fun.
