My daughter is getting two baby sheep tomorrow. She is in Agriculture and FFA at her school and she and another girl had a sheep in the Central Florida fair this year(their sheep took fourth place). She loved it so much and one of the teachers from another school had two baby sheep born on February 25th she is selling to my daughter. Both of them are girls. They will be picked up tomorrow and be here at our house sometime tomorrow morning/afternoon. I have never had sheep before so this will be new for us. My daughter knows more about them and taking care of them snce she has been caring for the one at her school all year. She plans on entering them into the fair next year. They will have to be bottle-fed for the first few weeks. Im looking forward to it. Their names are Spot and Dot right now but my daughter is planning on calling one of them Daisy. I told her I like the name Delilah for the other one. I will post some pictures tomorrow when they get here.

That's awesome. Congrats on the new additions. Baby sheep are so adorable...its when they grow up that they are not quite so cute (nor smart).
It will be a grand adventure.
I raised & showed in FFA also (LOVED it). Can't wait until my kiddos are old enough to join 4-H.

We have raised rabbits, ducks and chickens so having the sheep will be a new experience for all of us. My daughter has been working with the one at school for several months now so she knows a bit more about it. We will be bottle-feeding for about a month or so then we will wean them off. Feels like we are adding two babies to the family :)

I have alot of friends that show at the state fair, cattle and pigs. They have a blast every year. My son showed pigs from the time he was 8 to a senior, and won showmanship every year, he loved to show and gives lessons to people now. Pretty cool that she is getting sheep :)

What kind of sheep is she getting (i.e., a Leicester variety, a Corriedale, a Shropshire)? Besides showing, will they be wool-producing sheep, milk sheep, or breeding sheep?
Being a knitter, I just love sheep and have been to many a fiber festival - I just love the super-cute ringlet-curly haired ones (I don't know their breed name though).
Wish I could raise sheep or alpaca, but I'm too much of suburb girl to make it work. Besides, it's hard for me to remember sometimes to feed the dog (thank goodness for DH).
Good luck with her sheep....
