Those photos are from a neighbor of a friend o' mine. Taken today in the morning. This is what happened yesterday in my town. What made this was... rain - no winds, just water falling from the skies + all the problems of a big city + climate issues :(
So sad. There are 79 deaths so far. DH and millions of people couldn't manage to go to work today. The authorities asked to stay in home and canceled school.
It's raining for 16 hours up right now. Tell me about April showers... :thumbdown:

we have swans like that in a downtown lake. Wow that is alot of water. Unfortunately we have seen flooding like that here in certain areas. When we get alot of water our yard floods to the point where it almost seeps inside the car when we drive through. Luckily we have a huge drainage ditch/canal (it is about 12 feet deep and 15 or so feet wide) and our yard does not stay flooded long.

Wanted to add that I hope it dries up soon and everyone stays safe.

Thanks for all the P&PT. Me, my family and friends are safe. But there's a lot of people hurt and 95 deaths so far. So keep them coming, please.

The rain stopped now, after 24hrs up of heavy rain almost non-stop.
The weather channel is saying rains will continue through Wednesday :(
News are saying this is the worst flooding since 1962 in my town.
BTW, I live in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. Sorry, I didn't told you that before.

Oh my gosh!!! Amazing the number of deaths! Were the people caught in an unexpected flooding or something? I hope that the rain stops for awhile so the waters can recede ... and hopefully not reoccur with such a hard continual rain. Stay safe.
