Is WLPG the same as the Windows Photo Gallery? Is WLPG similar to a flckr?

I think so.

You can connect it to a hotmail account and then you will have a skydrive gallery that you can upload fullsize photos for sharing.

The photogallery and tagging stuff is done on your computer. That's what we talk about when using WLPG for organizing. So while it has an online side like flikr, I don't know if flickr has a desktop software?

Okay, thanks. I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything on my computer. Flickr works with my blog so I don't need that on-line feature. I wasn't sure why it wanted me to register with a name to use the desktop part.

I just checked and you can upload to flickr from WLPG for pictures for your blog. I don't use flickr so I wasn't sure.

Yes, it is the same. It's just the newer version of the program.

And you don't have to log in to use the organizing part. logging in will access your contacts in hotmail so automatically add people tags for photos. it didn't seem relevant to me for the digi scrapping though I'm wishing there was a way to get designer names assigned to products under the people tagging system instead of adding to the author field manually. That would be uber-cool!

I'm lovin' WLPG so far. Not thrilled about having to convert psd files, but this runs so much more smoothly than acdsee ever did! :thumbup:
