I don't mind getting normal snapshot pictures printed at Walgreens and places like that, but when I'm using actions on photos, I want to go somewhere more professional. I'd love recommendations!!

I have been a member at Fotki.com for 7 years now. Their quality is awesome and their prices are great! 4x6's are only 9 cents each!

I'm all about WHCC for my nicer quality prints. One I figure a frame arrangement for our foyer I'm gonna place a nice size order :)

I just ordered from Persnickety prints to print off 3 layouts since I had a credit for 3 pages. I'm not sure how they will come out, but hope well. I hate to pay a ton for prints.

Have you tried Mpix? I've been happy with their quality.

I've heard good things about WHCC, MPix, ProDPI, Miller's, H&H and Color Inc. but haven't personally printed at any of them yet. I really need to get some test prints done soon so I need to look into setting up accounts at a few different places.

haha, me too! I have two of them in frames now. That's partly why it took me so long to order the test prints, I wanted to make sure I knew which prints I wanted on the wall as 8x10s. :D
I'd definitely recommend WHCC. The prints came out beautifully, they were super easy to order with the ROES system and they arrived really quickly too. I ordered some 5x7s from Scrapbook Pictures and those came out really nicely too.

I've always printed my LOs from scrapbookpictures.com and have been mostly happy since I've learned to ask for NO auto color correction in the Notes field.
One thing to point out...check your LO to see if the colors are in gamut (in PSCS3 it is View/Gamut Warning). Some kits are in gamut while others are not and the same goes for your photos. If you see tons of gray all over the page then those areas might not print accurately. I had one LO that was mostly green, but it came back sickly yellow and another that was red which came back a weird pink/purple. Often you can fix out of gamut areas simply by decreasing the saturation just a tad.
Anyway I mention that because I would hate for you to send an out of gamut LO in for a test print and be upset with the outcome and then avoid that company when it wasn't their fault, yk?
And yes, I confess...I'm a self-professed gamut nazi (as is Libby! hehe) LOL

The Daily Digi did a Review of ALL of these places. Here is a link (http://thedailydigi.com/layout-printingeviews/#comments)
Persnickety Prints was her "winner". I know they are have a big sale this weekend for NSD. I believe I saw somewhere 25%, or 12x12's were $1.49
I haven't found that quality for this price anywhere. planning on stocking up:thumbup:

I had that happen when I printed my Christmas cards and was wondering what was wrong!! That's a great step to know.
