I swear, my work never wants us to have any fun! I work for the state of Texas, and I am honestly amazed that I can get on this website! FB and Twitter? Blocked. Blogger? Blocked. But not WordPress, which is odd. TLP- blocked- they seem to think the word Lilypad is inappropriate or porn or something. :blink: The CT forum for Trixie Scraps- you guessed it! Again it must be the porn thing. :unsure: I can't have any fun here! :cursing: I was so excited to get hootsuite to open, but guess what? We are still on IE 6 here, in the dark ages, and hootsuite won't run on that! So they did not have to block it b/c our web browser won't use it. :cursing: And we can't DL any doftware to our systems. So all the fun I have tweeting with my girls has to be done after 5 PM. :( It's just not right I tell ya!

Yeah, my work blocks everything fun, too. Anything with the word community in it is block. All blogs, etc. Its like they want us to work or something! ;)

To avoid the blockage at library or work i use http://anonymouse.org/ . You just put the address in the window and you can browse sites from inside anonymouse.. Its not illegal and won't put any virus in your pc. :) And they won't find out :) or sometimes i go to the Google translator page, put the site address in the field where they say translate this page and you can visit the site from Google.. You can try at home :)

mine has just started blocking things! Mostly blogs so far, but not all blogs and not bloglines - but even within bloglines some pictures are blocked. I don't take smoke breaks and I rarely leave for lunch so blog reading has always been my chance to take a minute to regroup. I'm just thankful we still have gmail and facebook!

yep same here at a major telecommunications company--Mostly, sites with the word game in them are blocked, and facebook, and for some odd reason, Scrap Artist--go figure, but not QVC that's just wierd
